  Let me just say I love Studs — all of the earrings in my ear are from them and I usually have positive experiences in-store — but this location is not it. Popped in to buy a pair of hoops to replace mine that were no longer closing properly (this was to be expected, I wore them for years and rarely took them out). The girl behind the counter asks what I’m looking for, I describe the pair of hoops in what I thought was rather great detail, and she bluntly goes “I have no idea what you’re talking about, I would need to see them.” I pull them out of my bag and she shows me the same ones on the display. When I ask if I can take the earring off the display to take a closer look (I wanted to compare how the finish of my pair held up), she is visibly annoyed and says that I can’t put them too close to my ear in a really condescending tone, but still removes it to show me. I had put my earring that she asked to see on my side of the counter and she snaps that I can’t put it there, again super condescending. I totally understand that this is probably for sanitary reasons, but I didn’t know and she was truly so rude. When I asked to see another pair of earrings up close, she stared at me blankly and again looked visibly annoyed, but removes the earring so I can hold it. As I’m weighing my options and asking my sister if the hoops appear the same size as my old ones or look good with my stack, the sales associate considers to stare at us but offers no input. I truly felt so uncomfortable and almost walked out without buying anything. I ended up purchasing the hoops because I decided I wasn’t going to let the sales associate ruin my day and make me have to find time to go to another location or order online. My sister wants to get a piercing from Studs at some point, but says she will also never go back to this location even though it’s right next to her office. Truly a beyond disappointing experience that I’m still thinking about and upset by days later. Also— I think this is my first negative Google review ever!!

  Rose did a great job adding my seconds and a conch today and giving me helpful check up notes on my prior piercings that are currently healing. Thanks to Rose and Emma for keeping the energy light and professional

  Studs is so overly expensive, they workers are not very helpful, and just a bad experience in general. Save urself some time and check out a local NY piercing spot 👍🏽

  Elio was amazinggggg !! I also met 2 ladies from corporate organizing the tattoo rollout and they were super nice. I originally booked for 2 forward helix piercings and walked out doing the conch instead. Elio was super knowledgable in telling me the placement and the jewelry sizing for the forward helix. He explained that due to the anatomy of my ear, the Conch would be better. I love it ! Even though he bribed me with a Ringpop (just kidding), my piercing experience was great. Look forward to my followup !
