We’ve reimagined a better ear-piercing experience to help you get the look you want, stress-free.
We offer ear piercings with needles (never piercing guns!) for better precision, safety and healing, as well as a wide assortment of cute, high-quality piercing jewelry options at a range of prices.
They have really nice jewelry but the staff was quite unfriendly unfortunately and on their phones while I asked for help on the jewelry.
I’ve purchased three piercings and then asked the staff to help me open one of my existing piercings, so I could change it. They said they would charge me $15 and I’d have to sign a waiver, which I find ridiculously exaggerated. I just wanted them to open my piercing…

Have been building my stack here and the Nolita location. The team here is so warm and professional. Rose did a great job adding my seconds and a conch today and giving me helpful check up notes on my prior piercings that are currently healing. Thanks to Rose and Emma for keeping the energy light and professional

Really disappointed with my experience at Studs. Save yourself the time and money and go to a real piercing studio, not a piercing chain. Studs is basically a glorified Claire's. Listen to the negative reviews!
The staff at this location were nice, but I did feel like they were trying to upsell me on more piercings when I only wanted one. I was initially concerned about the placement of the piercings since they seemed crooked and not symmetrical, but I assumed it was due to swelling and hoped that they would look more even after they were fully healed. I got a second opinion from another piercing studio that said they were indeed pierced crooked.
Months later and they have not healed AT ALL. I believe this is due to various factors:
1. The quality of their jewelry varies. My installed flatback earrings popped off on their own and were already tarnished and the stud pin was straight and not bent (like other reviewers commented) I'm extremely sensitive to nickel and mixed metals so this could have caused further irritation.
2. The earring backing was most likely not long enough to account for the swelling and that's why it became loose and popped off. I did not feel the flatbacks come off at all, I just looked in the mirror and noticed they were gone. I found some of the pieces on the floor and did not feel comfortable attempting to put them back in. The piercing holes were bloody and filled with pus and had a horrible "cheesy" odor.
3. The staff at Studs unfortunately do not explain aftercare/cleaning properly. I was advised by a real piercing studio that just using saline alone will not clean or heal the piercings. The saline needs to be rinsed off and the piercing should be gently dried afterwards.
Unfortunately Studs customer service will not issue me a refund (not even just partially for the broken earrings or just the service fee) unless I provide medical documentation or a doctor's note that there was an infection or allergic reaction. Pay attention to the release that they make you sign because it probably states in there that you can't get any sort of refund. (Or just avoid Studs and go to a real piercer!!!)

Amy is an absolute rock star. She is incredibly patient and knowledgeable. She takes the time to walk through all the options and goes the extra mile to make sure you’re comfortable throughout the process. She is the only person I trust to pierce my ears moving forward after having some truly awful experiences at non-stud locations.
