  I say this as a Sephora lover and VIB Rouge member with well over a decade of loyalty to the store. I had a terrible experience at this Sephora location. While it carries a large selection of brands, the store is poorly stocked and it’s nearly impossible to get a sales associate to help. I flagged down at least three different sales associates and none would stop to help me. I unfortunately had to leave and go to a different Sephora location to get what I was looking for.

  Love my skin products. Separate has everything. Jade our sales associate is an expert skin care specialist. Just incredible selection. I love all the skin care, I'm not a big make up wearing girl. Skim care products were chill and cool like nothing I've ever seen. Definitely becoming a regular.

  I’m not going to lie I never write reviews but I dread going into this location because I always feel bombarded as soon as I walk in. I work in retail in SoHo so I appreciate just shopping alone and unbothered. This particular occasion I went in looking to reup on my skin care products. I immediately get stopped by two associates asking me what I’m looking for. After I tell them, they start to tell me “it’s funny you say you have sensitive skin, because the products you said aren’t even clean” They began to in so many ways say I use cheap products. I definitely don’t care if I use cheap products, and to be honest - the people insulting me did not look like they knew what products to use. The sales person tried to upsell me on this moisturizer and I walked outta there with my cheap product lmao.

  I was genuinely heartbroken by my experience with Sephora Soho. My boyfriend surprised me by booking a makeup appointment for my last full day in New York because he wanted me to have a special experience before I went home. I was really looking forward to it, especially since I have an important event coming up. At 8 AM on the day of my 2:15 PM appointment, I received a voicemail saying my appointment had been canceled because the makeup artist was unavailable. I immediately called the store after waking up, hoping they could help me find a solution. Unfortunately, the employee I spoke with sounded completely unapologetic. She simply said the appointment was canceled and that she would check three other locations. None had availability, and that was the end of the conversation. There was no genuine apology, no effort to make things right, and no acknowledgment that this completely changed my plans for the day. What made this even more disappointing is that Sephora charges customers a cancellation fee if we cancel without sufficient notice, yet my appointment was canceled only a few hours before it was supposed to happen. That felt incredibly unfair. This wasn’t just about a makeup appointment. It was supposed to be a memorable part of my trip, and instead it became one of the most disappointing experiences I had. I expected much better customer service from a company like Sephora.

  I booked Sephora’s Special Occasion Makeup service at this location, and it was, without question, one of the worst beauty experiences I’ve ever had. I arrived on time with a clear reference photo of the exact look I wanted. The makeup artist, Sha’kenya ,either didn’t understand how to recreate it or simply didn’t have the skills to do so.She chose colors that were completely wrong for my skin tone, used products that didn’t suit my skin, and there was no consultation or attempt to tailor the look to my features. After she finished just one eye, I knew the appointment was beyond saving. It looked nothing like my reference photo—honestly, it looked like children’s crayons had been used instead of professional makeup. I had to leave immediately before it was too late and I wouldn’t have enough time to get home, wash everything off, and redo my makeup before my special occasion. The most unbelievable part was looking around the store and seeing employees with flawless makeup, as if they have access to the best products and all the time in the world to perfect their own looks, while paying clients are left trusting their faces to a service that, in my experience, fell nowhere near a professional standard. I walked in expecting artistry and expertise. Instead, I walked out feeling like I had been used as practice. I left the store in tears, wasted my time and money, and had to fix everything myself.I absolutely cannot recommend Sephora’s makeup services based on this experience.
