- FYFonta YoungMay 14, 20262.0If I could give this 0 stars I would. I had a really uncomfortable experience shopping at Sephora yesterday. The entire time I felt like I was being watched and followed by what seemed like “undercover security,” except it was extremely obvious. There was one guy standing around the cologne section for what felt like hours pretending to browse, while two other girls kept appearing in the same aisles I was in. It made the shopping experience feel very hostile and awkward instead of welcoming. On top of that, one of the store associates, with the MESSY red lipstick, was acting very microaggressive and dismissive toward me, which only added to the discomfort. I ended up not even wanting to continue shopping because I felt so uneasy and judged the entire time. Customers should be able to browse peacefully without feeling singled out or surveilled so intensely. Next time I’ll be recording the whole thing!
