    I went in because of an issue with my receipt. I spoke with Veronica and decided instead of getting a refund I would do an exchange. I explained exactly what I wanted (a mascara comparable to tarte tubing mascaras final look) and she picked out a waterproof mascara for me. We talked a little about my lashes and she recommended a serum, too! We also spoke about a blush for the summer and we swatched a few things. She was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and sweet! Everyone I had interacted with at the store was pleasant. But Veronica made what could've been a negative experience positive and seamless! 12/10 Thank you!

    In your quest to get a sale from a customer one of their beauty advisors cut right on front of me with said customer to show them the One/size powder without even having the decency to say excuse me I had two full size powders and was about to pick up a third ,but I guess because im a man my money isnt worth decency so I put the two back. And only got one full size one while said beauty advisor showed the other customer a travel size one. Hope their sale was worth it. Guess I wont be rouge after 2027

However, after being asked to contact the store directly regarding this issue, I called twice and left both a voicemail and a message with staff, but I still have not received a return call. Unfortunately, this has only added to my frustration because the original issue remains unresolved. My concern was never simply that the makeup “looked okay” to someone else — it was that I repeatedly explained during the service that the foundation match was several shades too light and my concerns were not properly addressed. After nearly two hours, I left dissatisfied, had to seek alternatives elsewhere, and missed part of my event. I also spoke with management in-store and was told there was nothing that could be done to solve the problem. At this point, I hope Sephora will genuinely address concerns regarding shade inclusivity, listening to client feedback, and meaningful customer service resolution rather than simply offering general apologies. Original Post Its Prom, birthday, wedding and gala season do not get your makeup done at this location black woman or dark hued woman. Until this is fixed. I have personally used this location in the past and had a great experience which is why I returned. I received makeup service at your Bay Plaza location on Friday. While the artist, Yenifer, was a very sweet person, and kind the service itself was highly disappointing. My issue isn't just that the final look didn't work—it's that I identified a major shade-matching error a few minutes into the appointment. I repeatedly spoke up about it, and was completely dismissed. Early on, I told Yenifer that the foundation she was applying was several shades too light, noting that I use this exact brand at home and know my correct range. She told me what I used was 4 shades darker than what she was using, but that what the shade the machine suggested. Instead of pivoting or wiping it off to correct the match, I was repeatedly told to it would be fine and assured it would come together in the end. Unfortunately, after nearly an hour and a half in the chair, the makeup was still noticeably pasty and still washed out my complexion. As a Black woman, getting a proper shade match shouldn't be an ongoing battle during a paid service. I understand that matching takes adjustment, but my feedback about being too light was ignored for ninety minutes. To make matters worse, the managerial response was entirely unhelpful. When I expressed my frustration to the manager, Jeremy, he completely brushed me off, telling me there was "nothing he could do" and that he thought the makeup looked fine. That response totally missed the point. No one offered a real solution. No one suggested another artist, a quick corrective fix, a partial refund, or even an apology for my time that had just been wasted. I even asked Jeremy for help canceling a future appointment I had booked for the same day, I was treating someone to the sephora experience. explaining that I didn't want another Black woman to sit in that chair and experience the same frustration. Again, I was told there was nothing he could do to help me cancel that appointment. I had to call customer service where I was hung up on once and then ultimately told i must cancel for myself in the app which was not allowing me to so Because the service took so long and failed so completely, I left the store late, had to scramble to fix the issues and ultimately missed part of my event. I am writing this review because this experience points to a serious gap in both shade-training and basic management-level customer service. I expected much better

    I came in looking for a great lip gloss and ended up purchasing perfume as well! Alexis was absolutely amazing. I explained the type of gloss I like, and she perfectly matched me with products that exceeded my expectations. She introduced me to two incredible new lip gloss lines that I’m already in love with, and I will definitely be purchasing again.
