  I am still trying to figure out what exactly I paid $68 for. I had a gel manicure last night with Sierra. She was very sweet, and my disappointment is not directed at her personally, but rather at the salon and what they consider a “gel polish manicure.” Normally, a manicure includes soaking your hands, cuticle care, a hand massage, and polish application. Apparently, none of that is included here. For a salon literally named **“Soak,”** I find that pretty ironic. My hands were never soaked. My cuticles were never trimmed. There was no hand massage, not even a hot towel. The only lotion application lasted approximately 30 seconds per hand, while the technician was wearing gloves. Essentially, I sat there and had my nails painted with gel polish. **SIXTY-EIGHT DOLLARS. For someone to paint my nails.** I have been getting manicures for years, and I have never experienced such a bare-minimum service at such a ridiculous price. I genuinely feel ripped off. I live and work in South Reno and was hoping to find a great local salon to support. Unfortunately, this was a complete disappointment. I will not be returning, and I certainly won't be referring anyone here. **If you're going to charge premium prices, you should be providing premium services. This was anything but.**

  I really enjoy SOAK. Normally I have no issues with this place. Both locations are great. With that said the last two times I have been there service has been mediocre. I have requested certain technicians and when I get there and sit I get someone completely different. Today I asked for a girl by name to do my services when I booked it by phone 3 weeks ago. I sit down and it’s someone completely different again. She was nice and did a fine job. I also realize that the service is supposed to be an hour. I buy the Seasonal Soak at 86.00 which includes an oil foot leg rub. The time for taking the gel off from the appointment before takes 10-15 minutes. So when you get to the massage there is no time left. I got less than two minutes for that. For that price I can go elsewhere. The polish itself is good and lasts for a long period of time which is huge!!! It’s always been a great place to go but I am feeling like it’s really going down hill unfortunately. I really like supporting local businesses.

  I had a pedicure with Robin this morning and my toes are so cute! I love the new dazzle dry colors and Robin gives the best massage! 10/10 service!
