  This is what I asked for and I walked out crying being told that what i got looked like the picture. I mean they are nice staff but I don't think myself or hopefully anyone who sees this goes and gets a haircut here

  Today, I took my mom into this salon to get the cut and style she's been wanting to bring back. It reminds her of the era she grew up in! And we are all too familiar with this 70-80's American look. All I have to mention is Farrah Fawcett and I'm sure the look comes to mind. Crazy Layers! That's all she wanted for Christmas! We showed the stylist, Sarah, a picture on my mom's phone and she confidently said, "Well alright, let's get this done!" as if she's done it all her life and immediately went to work. I was so happy to take my mom here bc I had read some really nice reviews. But I was in no way prepared for what I experienced. This is not my first rodeo folks! I've seen hair being cut and I've cut hair myself! But I was in awe! I was first on alert when I realized she wasn't cutting into the hair correctly to achieve layers! She held the hair between her fingers at an angle which is correct, but instead of cutting along her finger line she was cutting into the hair at a 90 degree angle! I had never seen that done before so I kept observing her and realized THIS WOMAN could have never have cut layers in her life bc she clearly wasn't doing it right, so I began to question her while she was still on my moms head. I needed to understand if this is a new thing actually being taught in schools or if this was just a personal preference of hers, like a signature of some sort. Well she did not like that I question her lack of hair cutting skills. She kindly tried to get me to stop so she could finish my moms hair, but what she said left me in shock, she told me she didn't have time to listen to my explanation of how she should cut my moms hair bc she had other clients she needed to get to! Excuse me! I'm paying you to cut my moms hair the way she wants it! I'm not paying you for a time block in your schedule, if one client took you longer than expected your supposed to take it as a professional and deal with it. Your job is to make the client happy! I didn't say any of that to her at that time because I remembered I went there to make my mother happy and making a scene would not be a happy memory for her so I bit my tongue and sat back down because I know how to use the internet and I will share my story. Some people really think so much of themselves and have nothing to show for it! Funny thing is that while she was shampooing my moms hair, I was speaking with her and she disclosed that she recently moved to GI from Lincoln where she says she was doing hair for about 5 years. I asked her if she had any loyal clients who came to GI just to get their hair done by her but she said she didn't have anyone loyal like that and quickly justified it by saying no one will travel an hour and a half! Which is not true and that should have been a red flag but I didn't pick up on it. The reason why she has no loyal clientele is not bc of the travel, it's clearly bc of her lack of skills, those clients have no clue what top of the line service is! But to be honest what bothered me the most was that the owner was sitting next to us, watching and listening but didn't say a thing. So since she didn't care to jump in, I believe she is content with having inexperienced beauticians working at her salon and representing her. I will leave this review and let others know the kind of service we received. This establishment in NOT professionally managed! All they want is your money and more clients! Well they just ruined their chances with me cause I will never go back there again and will see that none of my friends ever do! Oh and of course I went home and fixed my moms hair! I wasn't about to let her show her face the way she walked out of Rejuvenation Salon!
