- SRSelena ReyesApr 7, 20261.0I am very sad to be posting this review, as I came to love and adore this Sephora being the only one we have in Wilmington. It is my understanding the altercation I had was with a general manager of the store. Which is unbelievable because of the way she treated me. I was shopping at Kohl’s when I noticed a woman staring at me from across the store. I realized she was an employee, and I found it odd that she kept staring at me while I was browsing. I continued shopping and headed to the checkout counter. When I approached the counter, I was close enough to see her name tag, which read “Stacey.” She continued staring at me, and when I asked her to check out my items, she turned to another worker and said, “Check this guest out. I’m not doing it.” She then walked away from the counter and aggressively threw a bunch of items into a basket. After I finished checking out, I approached Stacey and asked her what her problem was. This is when she lost it. She told me that me and “my kind” were not welcome in her store and that I needed to leave not only Sephora but the United States. It was heavily implied that she believed that I was causing a disturbance in her store for me just shopping there and being a Hispanic woman. I was shocked and asked her what her position and title were at Sephora. She told me that she was the general manager. It was disgusting behavior from both Kohl’s and Sephora. You should do better.
