  Good Evening, I want to start by saying Joni L was amazing very professional and educated and knows her stuff she did beautiful job I will definitely be back and her customer service was amazing since this was my time with her and second time at salon which was many years ago but however with me being in public eye all time with work I do the management can do a better job with acknowledging customers who enter the salon. There is sign outside stating "hiring stylist" you want atmosphere to be inviting and welcoming when you enter a room that's call repeat customers. You don't know if I was a president of company, secret shopper or etc. Everyone who entered the doors should be treated with respect and show that you care. I been in salons prior and this was stated just using this as example: Hi my name is... hope you are having a great experience if you need anything please don't hesitate and I will make sure all your needs is met. Again, new to Joni and service with her was amazing and I don't know her my sister is coming to her next week so I would love for to be treated nice since she is coming in due to word of mouth I know that Joni is going to take care of her but management needs do better. It's amazing team you have everyone that was there this evening knows how to do hair by me observing. To stay in business and have repeat customers you got to have great customer services repeatedly that keep the doors open just keep that in mine.

  I do not write reviews, but I feel forced to share this experience because of how unprofessional and disrespectful it was. I believe it is important for the salon and the community to be aware of what happened. I came in for a shoulder-length cut and provided a clear reference photo. Despite my asking multiple times during the process if the length was correct because it felt too short, my concerns were dismissed and I was told to "trust the stylist." I ended up with a cut that was ear-length—significantly shorter than what I had authorized. The stylist later admitted she chose this length because she felt it suited me better, completely ignoring my explicit request. While the manager was kind enough to waive the fee when the mistake was realized, the situation was made much worse by an overheard comment. As I was leaving, I heard the stylist making a remark to a colleague about my ethnicity to justify why I was unhappy with the result. I have never had to do this before, but I feel compelled to speak up. I am not someone who complains, but having my appearance changed against my will and then being stereotyped is something I cannot ignore. It is very upsetting to have your physical appearance altered against your wishes, but it is even more hurtful to have your background used as a reason to dismiss a valid complaint. I hope the management uses this as an opportunity for better communication and sensitivity training. I want to make sure the next client who walks in feels that their instructions—and their heritage—are fully respected.

  They were amazing my grandson had a bad experience at a different salon and he didn't want to get a hair cut. These people at JC PENNYS WERE AMAZING.

  Fast affordable service. Yolanda was personable and professional. I will definitely book her again. I just needed one step color and blowdry since I was getting braids somewhere else the next day. One star removed because I was sat so close to another client that had a horrible cough. The salon was empty and spacious. There was no need for her to be in the chair so close to me during my service. Also, it didn't allow for confidential stylists/client conversations. Taking some vitamin C and praying I didn't catch anything.

  Please beware !!! I went one day to get my hair done took a whole day off of work to do this when I left my hair was black black black Not what I wanted !!! I was so upset , and the stylist was the most horrible person ever . It was has taken me forever to get rid of this black . Do yourself a favor and don't come here!!!
