  Last and final visit.This is the Morehead City NC location. The following is based on an observation and also a suggestion. I have been getting my hair cut there for over 10 years at Great Clips,same location. Im a male.,(this will be relavent later). Over that time I have noticed it gets more and more difficult to get in. I do use the check in app to save time. I've observed recently when the app gives a wait time it is averaging close to one hour . This was not the case in past years . I also realize that means you are doing more business thus the longer wait ,that's great!...or is it? Read on. The last and final time I went there it said 55 minutes and then after that wait I got a text and said walk right in! So I did. And then I sat there in the lobby another 30 minutes. The lobby was full and I happen to notice there were quite a few women/moms in there sitting waiting .Typically there would be a mix of men and women. Then I saw what I think is causing the delays. Moms taking their children there for cuts. Not one but two,three four kids at one time. I know everyone has a right to get their haircut wherever and you can't discriminate obviously or who would want to . Kids need their hair cuts for sure. But as an adult looking for a way to get an affordable haircut in a reasonable amount of time it's just not happening at Great Clips anymore. As a man and I'm assuming others feel the same way, we just want a haircut, we are not picky, we just want our hair to look like it did from the last cut,boring possibly but reliable, pay our money and move on. The situation with the moms and children is the time factor.As I sat there and observed ,your stylist spent (my opinion) on average twice as long on kids hair , especially the girls due to personal preferences and moms gloating and being picky. Kids also not wanting to be in the chair ,etc. I understand they pay the same amount as others when it's done but they hold up the chair and stylist time twice as long. Thus explaining the longer wait. So what is your choice as a company? Mine is to walk out. If asked my solution, would be to have a designated children's chair/stylist for a shift and rotate the stylist. It would help free up the other stylists for those in and out cuts. I understand time is money so the more volume you can turn the more profit. Males are a great revenue source, ask your stylist. (Not sure about tips though)They are fairly easy cuts and not much complaints and redo's. Some don't have much hair at all for that matter . Yes we can go to a barber but maybe they prefer a female cutting their hair, not sure. To be honest your cuts are probably below average(I've been to salons) but you continue to raise rates by $2.00 pretty regularly. (I know you are way cheaper than going to a salon)As a company you need to make some changes if you want to keep this demographic I am referring to, those both make and female looking for a fast affordable haircut with little wait. You might be fine with the way things are. You have options.I have options. My option is to not go to Great Clips anymore. I will be finding a barber and get an hour of my time back. Please use this constructively as I took the time to share and not just walk, it's my opinion, take it for value. Someone would make $$ if they did a start up catered to men and emphasized speed and style and less wait but more upscale than a barber style shop. Or open a kids only stylist shop. Catering to those kids and pre teens., Have play area etc. To mix both is not healthy business in my opinion. Someone is walking and just not saying anything. Good luck and see who waits and who walks out. Competition is the greatest motivation for change.

  Very friendly. Great service. Reasonable price. Check in on app waited in store maybe 5 mins before name was called. Very happy with experience.

  I start chemo next week and anticipate losing my hair. Upon learning that Great Clips donates to Wigs for Kids, I decided to get my hair cut here. I spoke with Alexa on the phone and she made me feel very at ease. She was available when I arrived, hugged me when I sat down and gave me such a cute haircut! Everyone truly was so kind and thoughtful, but Alexa deserves 10 stars! Thank you for your kindness and empathy.

  First let me just say I had my tribulations about this place but charity Came In Like A Boss and totally swayed me Highland now and forever a customer of Great Clips as long as she works there LOL. charity hats off to you. You are simply amazing you have the Magic Touch and AI has nothing on you have a wonderful day I'll be back like Arnold Schwarzenegger
