  Victoria who works at this specific store location was so wonderful and helpful. I came in looking for a full coverage foundation and concealer, and she told me my specific shade and helped me find products that make me feel very confident in my appearance without breaking the bank. She is a gem.

  This was my first time going into Sephora and I just loved it. Lisa was great. She was very patient kind and I did not expect that for someone my age. She did what was called shade matching , That’s very Helpful! They have such a variety of makeup and with the shade matching that really does help. They also have A variety of perfumes. And everyone is so helpful not just Lisa! I really love all my makeup that I got and it’s just as wonderful as Lisa said it would be. I can’t say enough great things about the store! After getting home and I started experimenting with the makeup, I broke my Brand New beauty by Rihanna bottle of foundation. I was devastated so I go back in the next week and Victoria was helping me and I told her what happened she tells me to bring the bottle in and I could exchange it so now I’m a lot more careful with that bottle. Lesson learned ! The Southdale Sephora is wonderful !

  I decided to come in after purposely avoiding this location for several months because of bad experiences in the past. Nothing has changed! I was ignored by the presumed store manager/shift lead walking in, who immediately greeted the person walking behind me. When we interacted a few minutes later, she oddly referred to me with masculine pronouns despite having a full face on and visible breasts. Girl, I don't get misgendered even in the most conservative parts of the twin cities. Dolls, beware! The only saving grace was the person who assisted me the majority of my visit, but unfortunately I did not get her name! She was incredibly kind and patient, and made sure my needs were met.

  I had a very upsetting experience at the Sephora in Edina, MN. I came into the store and did not ask for an advisor, but after being asked multiple times if I needed help, I agreed. From that point on, I felt rushed, dismissed, and unwelcome. Without asking about my preferences, I was suggested a dewy tint and samples were packed before I was even allowed to try the product. When I explained that I prefer a matte finish, I was told I could only take three samples — two of which were already packed and were not products I wanted. The product I actually came in for was not even tested on me until I insisted. Even then, the employee, Camila/Camira, who said she was a store leader, quickly began packing a shade that was not a match for me. I asked directly why I was being made to feel rushed and unwelcome, and she said there were only two advisors on the floor and it was a Sunday. I had not asked for an advisor in the first place. This was the worst experience I have ever had at Sephora. There were many other customers in the store, and I did not see them being treated the same way. I felt singled out, rushed, and discriminated against. I will not be returning to this location.

  I would like to send a giant thank you to Rachel, she aided me in finding my correct foundation yesterday. She gave her time freely, and listened to all my aging skin concerns and led me to the right products for me. She was a brilliant consultant, many thanks!
