  I used to go to Studio9 Sterling Heights location before I moved, and I was so excited to find out they opened a Shelby Township location! I recently visited for the first time, and it did not disappoint. The salon was clean and absolutely beautiful inside. Making an appointment was super easy, and the prices are very affordable compared to other salons I have looked into. Rachel was great! She was super friendly, quick, and truly an expert at what she does. She took me from feeling dull and blah to feeling beautiful and confident again. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and my new color!

  I had an appointment 5/8 at 12:30 for hair and makeup and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had Is it reasonable to pay $225 for makeup when there was absolutely no proper skin prep beforehand with no moisturizer no primer no Fix+ no setting spray nothing Then cheap tacky false lashes were applied I specifically asked for dramatic makeup but what I got was an extremely basic look I could easily do myself at home with just some gold eyeshadow and a poor foundation base that made me look 60 years old I’m a shy person so I didn’t show how upset I was at the time especially after paying such a high price for something so disappointing I removed the makeup immediately when I got home because there was no proper skin preparation at all and she didn’t even bother to use setting spray I also didn’t see any recognizable professional makeup brands being used The foundation appeared to come from generic bulk bottles I’ve never seen in my life the kind that look like samples used with airbrush machines Honestly I was shocked I didn’t even make it home before I could see how terrible the layers looked As for the hair I asked for a wet look hairstyle but I walked out looking like I had been electrocuted Before I even got home my hair looked even worse than I had imagined Unfortunately this was a horrible experience I will not forget especially after paying that amount just to look this bad I ended up having to shower immediately and spend even more money at another salon for both hair and makeup I did leave the second salon looking much better but I was not happy at all because I should never have had to spend that extra money in the first place Very disappointing experience and definitely not one I will ever repeat

  Lexi was amazing! She talked to me while she was working on my hair to let me know what she was doing and it made me feel very comfortable with her. I have had bad experiences in the past with over cutting. We also had a nice talk about life and she was very nice. This was my first time seeing her and it was great. My hair looks perfect and exactly what I asked for. I will definitely be back. Everyone at the salon was welcoming and nice.
