- JMJessica McCallumoreApr 25, 20261.0Sent my son in for a haircut, while I stayed in the car with his little brother. He gets his haircut once every 8 weeks and knows the process at this point, did not need me in there. It was around 4:55 when we arrived, after signing in online and getting the alert to head up there. A stylist called him to the chair, sat him down, got him ready and then realized it was 5pm and said oh sorry I have to leave my shift is over. Then they dropped him to the bottom of the list, with 4 people ahead of him. We wouldn’t have came at that time if they didn’t tell us to with the online check in. He was so confused and came out and told me what happened so I went inside and everyone acted like we just had to deal with it. Never again. There are 3 men/boys at my house who probably get 20+ haircuts per year between the 3 of them and we will never be back. There are plenty of other places in Hudsonville/Jenison. We went to Zach’s that day instead and they did a great job and got him right in.

The stylist next to me who I usually have did four haircuts to my one haircut definitely switching salons after this. The sad thing is I’m not very picky with haircuts.

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
