- JCJosh CollinsMay 26, 20261.0I’ve been a long time Jude’s customer and will never go back after my experience today, specifically due to the attitude of Kelly L at the Grand Haven location. The last time I was in (my first time in her chair), her attitude was unwelcoming and she almost seemed bothered or annoyed with the simple request I had for my haircut. I felt uncomfortable and rushed, but I ended up liking my haircut. Today, I booked a haircut earlier in the day and the only time slot that fit my availability was with Kelly again. I almost didn’t book, but decided to give her another chance (maybe she was just having a bad day last time). I arrived 5 minutes late to my haircut (scheduled for 4:20, walked in at 4:25) because GH traffic can sometimes be unbearable getting over the bridge. I walked in and she met me at the desk, no hello or anything just “first name”. I gave her my name to which she replies “I had you down for 4:20 so I can’t see you today. You can come back tomorrow because I’m fully booked.” To which I told her no thank you and walked away flabbergasted. I’ve come in countless times for my appointment on time and have had to wait more than 5 minutes, sometimes more than 10 minutes, for the stylist to finish the client ahead of me. It’s disheartening that it’s clear that the same courtesy is not extended the other direction. I can understand timeliness and being fully booked, but what I don’t understand is the negative attitude and demeanor. It’s only because of this that I won’t be back. I’d much rather find a salon that will treat their clients with warm attitudes and a little understanding when they are only 5 minutes late, knowing that life happens.
