  I had an incredible experience at The Woodhouse Day Spa in Detroit! My massage therapist, Autumn, was absolutely amazing and gave me one of the most relaxing massages of my life. To top it all off, the General Manager, Kenneth, has the sweetest, most beautiful personality. His warm energy and hospitality made my visit extra special. If you want a flawless, luxury spa day in Detroit, go see Autumn and Kenneth. I cannot wait to come back!

  This place is awesome, and I had a memorable experience. I got Miyagi’s contact from a friend, who highly recommended her, so I booked an appointment right away. When I arrived, she welcomed me professionally and made me feel comfortable from the start. She has an incredible personality and clearly knows how to make clients feel at ease. Although the session began more quickly than I expected and our expectations weren’t completely aligned at first, we talked through everything respectfully. As the appointment continued, the atmosphere became much more relaxed. Miyagi took the time to make sure I was comfortable, and her techniques were both soothing and effective. Toward the end of the session, she apologized for the earlier misunderstanding and even extended my time, which I really appreciated. That thoughtful gesture completely changed my impression and showed that she genuinely cares about her clients’ experience. By the time I left, I felt much better about the visit and was impressed by her professionalism and kindness. I’m already looking forward to booking a longer two-hour session next time.   This was an amazing experience. Kenneth was so welcoming when we arrived and had everything set up for us. My massage therapist, Shay, was so kind and professional. This was one of the best massages I've ever had. Highly recommend.

  I had booked a relaxing experience for my husband and I for our anniversary. I paid over $800 and it was totally not worth it . We drove for 3 hours each way and I could have done a better job with a face mask at home. When I booked our massages they were supposed to be couples massages, which did not happen, we were each in a separate room. The actual massages were OK, then we had our facials.... My facial was great I definitely feel that she did exactly what the description was for the facial that I signed up for. HOWEVER My husband facial definitely was not. His face looked like it was not even touched. The main thing he wanted and we made sure to specify was extractions to unclog pores (which is why we specifically booked for that facial). The whole experience from beginning to end was a lot of miscommunication and totally not worth it.

  This spa has definitely changed and not in a good way. I booked a Swedish massage and it was just mid. My massage therapist was not engaged and did not ask about pressure or anything. I feel like I paid for an expensive rub down. Also, the environment is just not calming. Super rushed, they also don’t serve wine or champagne anymore even though it’s advertised on their website. When I asked the front desk, they said they lost their liquor license. Huh? That’s something that people should know. Especially people looking for a full spa experience. Overall, I give it three stars, but there are probably other spas you should try.
