I've been going to the same waxer for years, but my job gave us gift cards for the spa so I thought I would give it a try and use my gift card on a wax. I got a Brazilian and underarms. Shanzia was so polite, so gentle and I was actually relaxed. That's very hard to say while you're lying on the table getting a Brazilian. She left not one hair unturned. This was the best wax experience that I've ever had. Shanzia is awesome. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I am extremely disappointment regarding the handling of several gift cards that I recently attempted to use. I spoke with General Manager Marnie regarding two gift cards that, according to their system, have expired. The issue is that neither card contains an expiration date. These gift cards were given to me as gifts during past holiday seasons, and because there was no expiration date printed on the cards, there was no reasonable way for me to know when they would expire. While the back of the cards does mention a four-year expiration policy, that information is not useful without a date of issue or expiration date printed on the card itself. Without either of those dates, customers are left to guess when the gift card may become invalid. During the period when these gift cards were supposedly valid, our country experienced several significant events that caused many people to remain in their homes for extended periods. Families caring for medically fragile individuals, including my own, were especially cautious about leaving home and participating in non-essential activities. As a result, opportunities to use these gift cards were limited. Throughout our conversation, Marnie repeatedly stated that Maryland law allows small businesses to place expiration dates on gift cards. However, my concern is not whether expiration dates are permitted. My concern is that the cards in question did not contain an expiration date, making it impossible for customers to determine when the cards would expire. In fact, I have received more recent gift cards from your business that do include expiration dates. Because those cards clearly display the necessary information, customers know exactly when they must be used. This demonstrates that your business recognizes the importance of providing that information. Unfortunately, that same information was not provided on the older cards. What I found most frustrating was that the discussion focused solely on company policy rather than acknowledging the failure to provide customers with clear expiration information on the original gift cards. Had an expiration date been printed on the cards, this situation could have been avoided entirely. In addition it states in Maryland law “Any expiration terms that take effect after four years must be clearly printed and visible on the gift card, a permanent sticker attached to the card, or the envelope containing the card.” Therefore, the law is not applicable to this small business as implied in my conversation with Marnie.

I have been so overdue for a facial. I woke up today and said to self, let's try to get an appointment today. Unfortunately Spa on Boulevard was booked, which is where I usually go. I called Spa on the Avenue. Bingo, they had a 2pm appointment open today witj Emna. This was by far the best facial I have ever had. Emma was extremely professional. Engaged in conversation only when I started. I have had some yappers. So great job Emma! I WILL be back to see you.
