  I've been going to Progressions for many years for highlighting and haircuts. I have fine hair and both Julia, the person who colors it, and Kim, the one who cuts it, are exceptional. My hair looks elegantly natural, and and I frequently get positive comments on the cut.

  Michelle was amazing. I hadn’t had my hair cut in over a year and a half, and after everything I’ve been dealing with medically and emotionally after my cancer diagnosis, I honestly wasn’t feeling much like myself anymore. She completely transformed my hair and made it look healthy again. She knew exactly how to frame my face and styled it in a way that had me looking and feeling like myself again. I left feeling refreshed, confident, and genuinely emotional in the best way. Highly recommend her if you want someone who truly cares and knows how to bring your hair back to life.

  Services: Gloss and treatment by Navan Hok, Nails by Rita Buzillo Where do I even begin? I have never been treated with such kindness, care, and understanding than here! It's an experience as well as a Salon, one that left me feeling like myself again. As someone with curls, I've been looked at with less than enthusiastic eyes in my past when I've allowed others to handle my hair. After a horrible experience trying to get a simple haircut, where I was treated like my hair was something disgusting, I haven't even attempted to go to a Salon in years. But here? I was even given compliments on my texture, and my stylist Navan Hok was having fun doing it! An amazing conversationalist, He relieved any anxiety I had about my hair. I had been wearing a color someone else picked out for me, someone who hurt me more than I can say. Every day I looked in the mirror was a reminder of how they had controlled my life. Navan gave me my hair back and then some! He used a gloss to create a radiant black without damaging my curls, along with a treatment for my split ends. I can't remember the last time my hair looked so healthy! Between processing, I was able to enjoy Ritas Buzillo's company. She recommended a lovely shade of pale pink, which complimented my short nails, and our conversation of her life was eye-opening! If you'd like to be soothed by a beautiful Russian accent and matched with the perfect color, make sure to request Rita for your manicure! Beyond that, every member of staff cooperated with each other, maintaining a level of efficiency that was frankly impressive! And alongside it I got to enjoy snippets of joy as others were given the same treatment as me, a truly therapeutic atmosphere. I could go on, but I'm sure I've gotten the message across: Progressive Salon Spa Store is the place to be!

  I have been to Rachel many times and never realized until I moved away from the area how lucky I was to have found her when I lived in Maryland! After first coming in with a botched box hair dye mistake (oops!), she nailed my hair color and turned it in seamless lived-in dimension, and every time since gave me beautiful tones, cuts, and blowdrys that matched my inspiration photos. Most importantly, she made me feel at ease and was so easy and fun to talk to. I hope to go back to her again when I’m back in the area!
