  Met Joanie for the first time for a haircut. I told her my issue and what kind of haircut I wanted. Joanie listened and showed me photos of different haircuts. We both agreed on a pixie cut. Boy, did Joanie deliver! She did a great job on the haircut! I will see Joanie again in October.

  I had a terrible experience after I went in and explained my hair cut, style and look. I had a long hair cut with undercut, she did the undercut but did not blend the fade at all. Then instead of cutting the few inches I wanted all around the remained length she cut it all down to 1-2 inches total!!!! She did ask if I wanted to texture it and obviously I always do but that does not mean you had to cut my hair so short... She then said casually while I did not notice she cut it that short until she showed me the back of my head. I almost cried when I say the back of my head and said that it was shorter then I wanted by a lot... she didnt say anything but giggle it off. I was just wanting to go home at that point.

  I chose Hair Cuttery because it's usually super efficient but not at this place... The check-in computer was broken, the staff were confused about my appointment, and then they let a walk-in skip me when I had already reserved a "first available" appointment. After waiting a while I just gave up...

  I was a bit disappointed with the level of customer service received in my statement get my hair done. I booked my first appointment for Friday 8/7 at 8pm around 11am that day: I didn’t receive a confirmation of any kind. I called at 7pm to confirm and was told the stylist didn’t receive it. Having a relative currently working at a hair cutrery in NY ; I doubt she didn’t see it but just simply didn’t confirm it. I get it’s Friday 8pm appt ! I called back to speak with the stylist Lashelle to confirm my rescheduled appt. She seemed occupied and wanted to get me off the phone quickly. I arrive Sunday for my rescheduled appointment ; Lashelle didn’t know what I was getting. She asks to see my hair and literally tease and pulls at my hair to gauge length or density. This was all done in the waiting area in front of their big glass window. How embarrassing and demeaning. No privacy or respect for how I may have felt uncovering my hair in that part of the salon. While this portion is not her fault ; to not have services listed that cater to all hair types like a silk press and not having it listed or priced is discouraging. It’s 2026 why would such a service be listed. My services which was a cut wash and blow of $54 jumped to $135 because the service my hair type needed (silk press) was $103 without the cut ! Will not ever return for anything from this location or company !

  I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hair cuttery location. Imagine having your hair cut only to have the stylist, Vanisha, tell you afterward that she isn't really comfortable cutting short hair. On top of that, she wasn't sure what type of color to use for my hair. The manager on duty, Jessica, was no help. Instead of finding a solution, I was told my hair wouldn't be completed that day and that I could come back the next day when another stylist was available. I had to leave the salon with my hair unfinished and nonone seemed to care. The level of unprofessionalism I experienced was unbelievable. My best experience at this location was with Lashelle and Meaza who are both experienced and talented who have always provided excellent service. I also received a follow-up call from Kiyomi after contacting corporate about my experience, but the apology did not feel genuine. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with little confidence in the salon's commitment to customer service. Be sure the stylist you go to is knowledgeable.
