I genuinely don't usually leave reviews and I have such bad social anxiety that I just dont speak up because I dont want to be an inconvenience but after the 2nd time of this happening here (price wise) and now my hair just not being what I wanted I cant come back to this salon again. Both times I was charged over double but at least the stylist the first time defended me and said to charge what was agreed on between me and her. When I booked on the website it said half up front, $175. I get there and I'm waiting for a bit because she had another appointment which is fine. We talk about what I wanted and I inform her that I decided not to do the fantasy color of full lilac like I originally wanted and just wanted to a cool blonde and she was talking to me about shadow root or something and blending the colors and I thought she meant the lilac and blonde. I did not realize she meant my natural red with the blonde and lilac and once I did the foils were already in and was about to remove some so I asked if the rest was getting done after and that's when she informed me and said to flow with it. I said okay maybe it wont be so bad as I thought only pieces of my hair had red in thr front. My hair looks red with blonde highlights. I gave her free reign on the lilac to surprise me but we cant even really see it. I got charged for full fantasy color for something I did not ask for and only got highlights onto my natural and some other fees that I had no idea about until pay time. No one discussed any price raises and I thought this was just part of what I booked. It was not. It came out to almost $500 and I was immediately shocked and the cashier said "But! After we take off the $175 you paid it'll be $307." Again, I have social anxiety and I didnt want to make the stylist feel bad despite how I felt about the turn out. We mentioned making the blonde more cool than warm. Its not a cool blonde. Its mostly red with some subtle highlights so it looks warm/brownish. The lilac i wanted is more dark purple and you cant see it unless youre on top of it and even then its too dark and blends to the red. I sat with toner in my hair for a full pedicure then nearly 10 minutes in the washing chair before one of her coworkers came to wash it out (I dont know her name but she offered to assist me multiple times and she was so sweet) at one point when my bleach timer went off under the heat thing with my foils in i sat another 10 minutes before this same co worker came to ask if she could check me then went to search for my stylist. I wont name this stylist because shes very sweet and I think it just might have been an off day. I just dont understand how I was charged nearly triple the price for what looks like natural highlights and absolutely no fantasy color and just not like what I envisioned. I tried so hard to like it and draw a silver lining and any other time it'd be amazing but I leave out of town on the 5th to the 16th and my hair will not be concert ready and I am nearly $500 down for something that was supposed be $350 total and only $175 at the time of paying because I paid the first half months before. I just feel like crying at this point about it because I am so disappointed. I showed her a picture of me with blonde before of what I wanted and I will share the after product too and what my hair looks like naturally as well. So what i wanted vs what i usually am vs what i got.

The salon is a really chill place, and my stylist, Ruby, is excellent. It was my first time going here, and I'll definitely be making this my regular salon.
