  I love my stylist Sydney. She listened and gave me a cut and hairstyle that everyone is raving about. I have natural hair and have me a ‘schooling’ on how to manage my hair. I am definitely one of her clients now and the future. Thank you very much Sydney

  I made a reservation online to get a signature hair cut for $32. When I arrived on time for my appointment there was a nice lady waiting to be serviced and she was told that no one was available. After myself been there for 20 minutes the lady left after telling that she could not wait any longer, to which the staff said there was nothing they could do. I felt bad but I felt worst once I used the restroom and found a staff member in a break room eating. But it gets worst, another staff member arrived and asked where was her client and was told she left since she could not wait. Now I'm the one getting her service and she asked me what was I getting and when I explained the buzz cut, she told me it was $38. I asked her why and she said is what she charges. I told her that I can leave but she insisted she was not going to let me not get the service for a couple of dollars. During my service she kept talking to the other staff about someone taking her client and the other staff members talking about others taking their clients. I don't think that was professional nor what I want to hear that while having someone cutting my hair. Someone has to quickly have a talk with the staff and set the professional tone or more people will stop showing to get services here.

  I had a very disappointing experience at the Hair Cuttery in Greenbelt. I walked in ready to spend my money on a color and haircut package, but instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like I was an inconvenience. The older women working there were unfriendly and dismissive from the moment I started asking questions. I don’t know much about hair color, which is exactly why I was asking for guidance. Instead of educating me or helping me choose the best option, I was spoken to in a condescending way that made me feel like I was slow or stupid. One employee, Asia, was speaking with me, but as soon as other customers walked in, she stopped helping me and immediately shifted her attention to them. I was left standing there feeling ignored and unimportant. That experience made me feel like I didn’t matter as a customer. A salon should make customers feel comfortable, especially when they’re asking for professional advice. Customer service is just as important as the haircut itself, and this location completely missed the mark. As a middle-aged Black woman, I left feeling that I was treated differently, and I couldn’t help but wonder if my race played a role in how I was treated. Whether intentional or not, that’s how the interaction made me feel. I will never return or recommend this location to anyone. There are plenty of salons that value their customers, treat people with respect, and actually want to earn your business. This was one of the most unwelcoming salon experiences I’ve had.

  Walked in and showed a picture of what I wanted to Tam and she walked me right back and did it! Fast and friendly, and did a GREAT job! Money well spent!👍🍺❤️
