  I had a very disappointing and frankly disturbing experience at this Great Clips location. I visited with my family of four (my wife and two young kids, ages 8 and 5) around 5 PM after checking in online. The store closes at 6 PM, and there were no customers waiting when we arrived. From the start, the stylist, Stacey, was rude and sarcastic. When I said all four of us needed haircuts, she asked for our names in an unfriendly tone. After I politely provided them, she asked who would go first, and when I sat down, she tossed the cape at me instead of placing it properly. She also made an unnecessary comment telling us we should come earlier in the day, despite us arriving nearly an hour before closing with no one else waiting. Things continued to get worse. While another stylist (Theresa) began helping my wife, Stacey continued with us. When my son briefly went to the restroom, she called my daughter. I politely asked if she could wait a moment so my son could go next, since I wasn’t sure what haircut my wife had planned for our daughter. This seemed to irritate her, and she told my daughter to wait and said it was “daddy’s fault,” which was inappropriate. When my son returned (within a minute) and sat down, she again tossed the cape at him. While cutting his hair, she tried to make conversation. My son is very shy and usually responds with nods or short answers. Instead of understanding this, she came over to me and complained about him, calling him “arrogant.” She then made extremely inappropriate and shocking comments about my child, including saying that kids in her neighborhood would “beat him up” and that she “wouldn’t raise a kid like this.” No parent should ever have to hear something like that about their child from a professional. On top of that, she made unprofessional remarks to the other stylist about tips, suggesting she might get a better tip for helping the girls, which clearly made the other stylist uncomfortable. At the end, when the kids were offered lollipops, my daughter took one and I asked my son if he wanted one as well. As he was about to get one, Stacey made another rude comment: “Now he wants a lollipop too?” in a dismissive tone. When my wife finally spoke up and asked why she kept making comments about our son, Stacey again called him rude and accused him of rolling his eyes, which is completely untrue. As my wife tried to respond calmly, Stacey cut her off with a dismissive “have a good day,” clearly trying to end the conversation Throughout the entire visit, we remained calm and respectful, despite repeated rude and inappropriate behavior—especially toward our child. Another stylist present appeared visibly uncomfortable with the situation. Despite the experience, I still tipped both stylists $10 each. I would strongly caution families, especially those with young children, before visiting this location. This was not just poor service—it was completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior.

  My husband and my son have been going there for few months every time we come happy but this time we had a really bad experience. The lady that cut my son’s hair was doing just what she wanted to do. Even my poor son was not happy with the hair style 😔.

  Stephanie at Burwood Great Clips is really skillful and careful to follow her notes. I go to her every 4 to 6 weeks and I can count on the haircut being just right every time. God bless her!

  Making an appointment online was easy and the service was excellent. I was very happy with my hair cut.
