    Jie Tang Pronounced “Jay” I was delightfully surprised when I walked in and found myself face to face with Jie, the first hairdresser that cut my very curly hair at my former Hair Cuttery in century Blvd in Germantown! I was sad she wasn’t available there. I recently moved up 4 miles northeast and was overjoyed to have found Jie and, of course, she gave me the best haircut in 2 years.

    I am very disappointed with my cut. I couldn’t tell in the salon when I was there because I did not purchase a blowout (thought I did), but my cut is uneven. I asked for long layers and I have uneven face framing layers. I also asked for curtain bangs and she chopped my bangs up way way too short. The positives: she was very kind and did a great job massaging my head and shampooing me. The olaplex treatment has made my hair feel fantastic. I really wish I loved my hair but currently I think I look a lot like Junie B Jones and I’m a doctor at a practice lol I think I will be back but only for olaplex treatments and hair trims, not full hair cuts.

    I asked for a trim, 3-4 inches to get the dead ends off. The lady cutting my hair did not tell me to look down or anything, which led to my haircut being VERY uneven. And somehow I got layers that I never asked for? I didn’t realize the cut was uneven at first because my hair was wet and speaking of that they didn’t even dry my hair, I left the salon with my hair dripping which confused me. When I got back home, my family told me that my haircut was very uneven and when I finally tilt my head down at looked my haircut I bursted out in tears, my hair meant a lot to me and to see how ugly it looked now I felt devastated. Luckily, my sister cut my hair more even which made it better so it’s bearable to look at now. I would NOT recommend this salon especially if you have long thick wavy hair like me, go to a place that actually knows how to take care of it.

    I would not ever recommend this place to anyone. They say walk-ins welcone and suggest 20 min wait time 45 min later I still don't get taken in and there are others who came after me who got taken in. Never will I visit this location.
