    I had a great hair cut, color and blow dry by Victoria at the Hair Cuttery in the Waugh Chapel shopping center in Gambrills, MD today. I will be going go Victoria on a regular basis going forward. Everyone was polite and friendly and the salon was very clean.

    Alicia was amazing! It’s so rare to find a hairstylist who truly listens to what you want, understands your hair vision, and doesn’t cut off more than you ask for. Getting a haircut with someone new is always a little scary, but Alicia made the whole experience wonderful. And the shampoo is always such a great, relaxing moment! I absolutely love how my hair turned out and will definitely be back to see her!

    This is my Hair Cuttery salon and I always request Marilyn. Excellent stylist for my senior, short wavy hair. When I was younger, had really straight hair, so where the waves came from, who knows!

    The staff was kind, but I ultimately left extremely disappointed. I went in for a haircut and blowout, specifically asking for a big, voluminous, bouncy blowout for my engagement photos that evening. Unfortunately, I ended up canceling the photoshoot because my hair looked nothing like what I had requested. When my stylist asked if I liked it, I spoke up and asked for more curls, as it was mostly all straight and flat. Instead of reworking the blowout, she only used a curling iron on the ends. When I got home, I tried to fix it myself, but the heavy hairspray made it nearly impossible to restyle. My haircut turned out well, but I specifically booked and paid extra for a Master Level 2 stylist expecting an experienced professional who could deliver the blowout I asked for. I understand not every stylist specializes in every service, but I wish someone had been upfront if that wasn’t a style they were confident creating instead of leading me to believe it could be done. I’ll continue searching for a stylist who truly understands what a voluminous blowout should look like.
