    BLUF: my experience was 3.5/5 stars despite being on the chair for almost 4 hours and paying $300+!!! I was late due to traffic, but on the way to the appointment I also missed a call from someone from Bubbles that my hairstylist is also running late and I appreciated that. Once we got started my hairstylist asked me questions to understand what I’m looking for in terms of style and color. She gave some recommendations and in the end I was happy with the final result. However there were a couple of negative aspects with my experience. First, my hairstylist asked if I regularly received toner at my hair appointments and I wasn’t sure, so she went ahead and added it anyway. She did explain the benefits of adding the toner but she didn’t volunteer how much it will add to my bill. I also didn’t ask and I wish I did because it added $41 to the total cost, which then ballooned to $299 without the tip. It would have been nice to have a chance to agree or not agree, and that would’ve made this experience even better. The second negative thing was that my roots were not addressed, so after just one wash they are pretty obvious again, seems no change. For $300+ I would expect that my roots would also be taken care of. My hairstylist said she ran out of time and said I should come back so she can work on it. I won’t be coming back if I have to pay again for something that should’ve been worked on in the first place! UPDATE 10/7/2026: Raven from Bubbles called me and we had a great conversation about my review. It is a learning opportunity for new customers like myself to manage expectations and ask questions about their services. I needed to clarify and understand that root touchups are not a given. Raven did offer to add notes to my profile about what I would like to get done for every appointment. I really appreciate the call and hope it helps other customers.
