  Elizabeth is the best! She is great at cutting my whole family hair, doing my highlight’s and doing random hair colors to my daughter! I recommend her to all my friends and neighbors! She is a valuable asset to the hair cuttery salon in Kentlands!

  Good haircut. But was expecting a $20 off and had a promo code on the first visit, instead got a $12 off. That shouldn't happen if you promise a $20 off. Would love to visit you again.

  I came to the hair Cuttery here at the Kentlands after speaking with the manager Mariana, who was very kind on the phone. I was very open to tell her that I had hair that was past my shoulder and that I wanted my roots done shampoo and a blow dry. She told me that it would be $122 max for all those services because anything past my shoulder is considered LONG HAIR. I do not have coarse or thick hair. I was open to tell her I had a lot of hair and she said $122. The stylist was trying to charge me $159 to blow dry my hair total cost and said that it was because I had mid back length hair when on the phone Mariana told me that for long hair roots blow dry shampoo altogether it would be a maximum of $122 but now they were telling me that my hair is mid back length so I have to pay more??? I hope everyone can see the Confliction or understand Why this is upsetting. Anything past my shoulder is considered long hair according to the Mamager Mariana But now I go to the salon and they say I have mid to back length hair and they wanna charge me more! I walked out after paying $89 for my roots color only and did not get a blow dry. I only paid for the color service. I had to return to the store two times because I had hair product specifically color in my ear and It took them two times to get it cleared from my ear and it was thick clunks of hair product Color in my ear that they did not clear or clean! They also overpriced my daughter for a blow dry that wasn't really a blow dry because they use the flat brush. They did not use the round brush to do a real blow dry and then they flat ironed only the top not all of the hair and said that was a deluxe service. My daughter said she wanted a regular blow dry but they charged her an extra $23 bc they said this is straight!!! I highly recommend that if you're thinking of going to a hair Cuttery that you go to another location because the people here do not know how to properly explain themselves and will try to overcharge you. The stylist that did my daughter's hair's name is Free and the lady that did my hair was Heliya, they truly tried to take advantage or should I say did take advantage of me and my daughter. They overcharged us. They did this openly most likely because they saw that I drove a Mercedes-Benz and bc I shared that my daughter goes to school in New York City after that they just started charging me more for everything. The what seemed to be a Middle Eastern lady named Free was very rude to my hairstylist too and told her that she had to take her 6:30 appointment NOW while rolling her eyes and just plainly was nasty she was not kind to her colleague and I now understand why she was not kind to us! That was very disturbing to see during that time, they also told that client that they did not have time to blow dry them and let the customer leave with soaking wet hair as well. I am expecting a call back from Mariana once I blow dry my own hair and am able to see if I am satisfied with my hair color or not. I will be seeking a full refund if my color is not what I specifically asked for! Bottom line Don't waste your time and money go somewhere else where people can clearly explain themselves and not try to rip you off. Please see photo attached you can clearly see the gunk of hair color in my top ear but the angle of the pic did not capture the entire amount of color in my ear.

  I was texted a code for “50% off a service “. I went and got a cut and color assuming that was one service . But instead of taking 50% off my color which was more expensive , they took 50% off the cut …. This is Bait and Switch and I am very upset . I will never return to Hair Cuttery in Kentlands . I could’ve gone to a better establishment for the price I paid there . I still have dye all around my face too and several gray hair still around my hairline

  I came in & showed the first picture and said I wanted to keep it a little longer, below my shoulders especially since my hair was already down to my natural waist line, but also I have a lot of natural curl that goes crazy when I have less weight to my hair every time I cut it. I kept the picture open on my phone, & several times she stopped to look at it. Before she made the first cut, she even indicated on my back where I was saying I wanted the hair cut at for the bottom layer, below my shoulders at my arm pits & I agreed to where she placed her hand showing me a line. She kept spinning me around & said that with my hair being wet, it will be a little short after it dries, which 1, I already knew that & & 2, again, going back to all my natural curl, which is why I wanted it cut longer. I told her I had a natural curl when my air dries. Clearly the cut I left with IS NOT the cut in the picture nor the length I had agreed to. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because she did give a really good cranial massage while washing my hair & it was relaxing, but also that there is still just enough hair to pull back into a tiny ponytail. The first selfie is immediately after leaving the salon. The 2nd pic is after getting my shower the night of getting my hair cut and letting it air dry. The last 2 pics are the morning after getting my haircut.
