  I went in for a hair cut yesterday. With a woman named Marquita. I had scheduled a cut, and an eyebrow wax. Eyebrows turned out good. The hair, not so much. Actually, not Atall. My hair was very long. Very very long. It was dead on the ends, I needed a clean up and wanted something different. But I was very clear that I wanted to keep as much length as possible. I showed her a picture, I wanted some long curtain bangs with some face framing and some layers. But I wanted my hair to stay long. We agreed to 4 inches - I suppose I would have been okay if 6 was needed. But by the time she was done with the hair cut she must have taken 10-12 inches off. It went from being so long it covered my boobs entirely. To being just below my shoulders. I was in total shock. I think I said why is it so short? She said something to justify the cut. And i just got up. Paid. Left. And cried in my car all the way home. It is not what I envisioned. It is not what I showed her with the pictures. It is not what I asked for. And now I’m left hating my hair. And hating my life to be honest. Not just the length. But It’s uneven on both sides. The face framing doesn’t match as one side is all feathered and layered while the other side is just like 1 long and chunky layer. Just not happy. Still crying about it. Yes. Hair grows back. And in 6 months time hopefully I can get it fixed and have some length back… But my hair was and is, a huge part of my identity and I absolutely didn’t agree to it being cut all off. I’d give 1 star if she hadn’t done a decent job on my brows.

  My 3 years old son wasn’t too easy on our hairdresser , all those crying probably traumatized everybody there. But our hairdresser was very patient with us. Took a while to get it done. Will definitely go back to her next time when we need another hair cut.

  Thank you Tori for doing such an amazing job!! I couldn’t be more pleased and highly recommend her. She took the time to make sure that my hair looks great whether it’s down or pulled up. It has a very natural look. She recognized that my hair was previously over processed and the ends were not in good shape. She was not only careful to ensure that there was no additional damage, but blended the colors seamlessly and made the ends look healthier!! I asked Tori to choose what colors would be best with my skin tone and she nailed it! She is also incredibly gentle. Not once did she pull my hair (and with all my hair that’s impressive). It was a truly relaxing process. I’ve never experienced that before. Beyond her superb stylist skills, she also has an amazing personality and is easy to talk to about anything and everything. I no longer live in MD but will make the drive to see her. Thanks again Tori!!!

  Hannah did a wonderful job at giving me EXACTLY what I wished for. I’m going through a hard family time right now and she was so compassionate, letting me cry and let it out. I will definitely be back to see Hannah banana

  Back to school haircut for my 15 yr old. Stylist Marquita was fantastic. Beautiful haircut and style. Very friendly and attentive to my daughter. Highly recommend! Please see Marquita at Haircuttery at Kingfisher Drive Frederick!!!!
