  Lit we rally stumbled upon this shop to get a prior job taken off and fell in love with the staff. Came back a week later and it’s become my spot. The ambience is amazing, customer service is amazing, and the overall experience is just amazing. So many colors and the work is QUALITY! Please come and visit. You will not be disappointed.

  I have been going to Avalon for almost 5 years now and the service never disappoints. Victoria’s work is amazing!!! She takes the time to learn her clients and knows exactly what to do to suit our style and personality. She takes very good care of us! No matter what I’m dealing with personally, after being serviced by Victoria (whether it’s nail, pedi or eyebrow waxing or all at one time), I always leave in a better headspace. Thanks Victoria for always making me feel special!

  If I am being completely honest, I do not regularly visit nail salons; however, I have been to this location several times and can confidently say that this was by far my worst experience. My previous visits to Avalon were pleasant, which is why I decided to return. Unfortunately, my experience this time was extremely disappointing and unlike any other service-based appointment I have had. When I arrived, I was able to select the color for my design, as I had planned to get a light pink French tip. Once I sat down, however, the technician immediately spoke to me in an unnecessarily aggressive tone, asking, “What do you want?” and “How long?” When I requested a medium-short length, she immediately told me that it would not work and that the nails would fall off sooner because of the length of my natural nails. While I understand that she may have been attempting to provide professional advice, the tone she used and the way she dismissed my preference as a paying customer came across as extremely rude and unwelcoming. Throughout the appointment, there were several other uncomfortable interactions. At one point, my finger was cut with the electric file, and there was no apology or acknowledgment of what had happened. As the appointment continued, the nails were made significantly shorter and shaped differently than I had requested. Because of this, I ultimately felt that I had no choice but to abandon the French tip design I originally wanted and choose a plain color instead. This was also met with a snarky comment from the technician. When it was time to pay, I was charged the same price as my friend, whose nails were approximately three times longer than mine. When I expressed that I felt my nails were still too long, the technician immediately grabbed my hand and began cutting my cuticles without first asking or explaining what she was doing. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with both the customer service and the final result. I understand that technicians may have professional recommendations regarding nail length, shape, or durability, but customers should still feel respected and involved in decisions about the service they are paying for. The combination of the rude communication, lack of apology after my finger was cut, dismissive attitude toward my preferences, and the final appearance of my nails made this an extremely unpleasant experience. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously, as I would not want another customer to have a similar experience.

  Avalon nails and spa is a hidden gem in Crofton. Upon walking into this Oasis of a spa I was soon transported to the land of relaxation. Their atmosphere and customer service is stellar. I was greeted immediately & warmly welcomed. Nearly no wait and escorted to a fresh pedi chair. The jelly soak is absolutely DIVINE. My first visit but I will definitely return!!!
