    Notified stylist of requested cut; stylist proceeded to inform me that I had thinning hair and should buy a very expensive restorative hair product. I refused, stylist then proceeded to cut my hair shorter than requested at a men’s 2 and 3. What would have been a nice styled cut for the summer turned into something like I had just left boot camp. So now I guess I really do have thinning hair, just as a result of the stylist instead of genetics (note: independent folks tell me my hair is thick and still is after the appointment).

    I had a great appointment. My stylist Rachel was very sweet and checked in often to make sure I was liking my haircut, and she did an amazing job. I absolutely love how it turned out.

    This was my first visit to the Bethesda Hair Cuttery, and the first time stylist Rachel has cut my hair. It looks great! 😊 Rachel also suggested a leave-in conditioner that seems like an excellent choice. It doesn't "weigh down" my rather fine hair.

    Today, my daughter came in for a haircut with Denise as the stylist. We clearly requested that only three fingers’ length be trimmed. Despite this, more than five fingers’ length was cut before I could intervene. Denise stated the haircut was complete, however the result is uneven and visibly zigzagged. I have attached photos for reference. I requested to speak with the manager, but was informed that the manager was not available. I was further told by the assistant manager that the manager refused to speak with me. I personally heard this communicated over the phone since it was on speaker, which was unprofessional and unacceptable. The overall experience was extremely disappointing. While one assistant manager attempted to assist in correcting the haircut, the service quality and handling of the situation fell well below acceptable standards. My daughter is extremely sad and started crying when she walked outside. Definitely not going back.

    I'm new to the neighborhood and thought I'll try it out. My mistake. This was the worst haircut I have ever had. I asked the stylist multiple times if they could do my haircut, they assured me they knew what they were doing. Halfway into the haircut I knew they had no clue. I asked the stylist to show the back of my head and the woman did even know how to HOLD THE MIRROR to show the back of the head after a haircut. How basic is that? I had to go to another haircut place right after to get it corrected and they were laughing at how bad it was. There were random gaps in my hair, uneven length, even a simple fringe was not straight. Absolutely shocking and will never ever set foot in this place again
