The person who did my hair was terrible. This was one of the worst, and slowest, haircuts that I have ever had.

Rachel was amazing! Fixed my hair right up after a stylist a while ago screwed up. Highly recommend her! She listens to exactly what you need! Will definitely go back!

I came here recently for a cut and randomly got Sarah as my stylist. Loved her the first time and love her even more after my second visit. I think she will be my stylist going forward. She’s so warm, friendly and energetic and has great suggestions while being open to your ideas as well.

I had a really bad haircut, and honestly, the worst haircut I’ve ever had in my life. Can’t understand the stylist handled the ending like this. I went straight to another salon and spent another $50 to get it fixed. Still feeling Unbelievable!

I need a last-minute blowout for an event. Usually I go to Hair Cuttery in Frederick, but when I’m in Bethesda for work I usually go to Aveda or Dry bar because the two times I came here the service was bad. I had no choice but to come back, and I thought maybe this time I would get someone good. Of course I was wrong by far the worst experience I’ve had.
The person doing my hair said my blowout was going to be the deluxe blowout price, which is $60. Usually I pay $35 for just a blow-dry. I’ve never been charged extra before. At other locations like Rockville, Germantown, and Frederick, I’ve never had this issue. It felt like the reasoning was that I have to get the deluxe blowout,” and not the regular one because of my curly hair pattern?? I never been told I have curly hair.
At checkout I let her know I’ve been to Hair Cuttery about 40 times and I’ve never been charged extra. She said, “Well then you have been getting charged incorrectly.” You’re saying every single hairstylist I’ve ever had in the past year has been wrong not one has ever charged me extra before.
She mentioned “thick curly hair” as the reason for the upcharge. Please look at the photos—do I have curly hair that justifies being charged extra for the deluxe blowout? Yes I have wavy hair but curly hair is a stretch.. If I am wrong please let me know so I do not go to Hair Cuttery anymore if this is their policy and that there lazy and only want to do people who have straight thin hair.
Anyways, I left and told myself I would never come back. The reason I’m writing this now is because I looked at my receipt in my email and I WAS CHARGED EXTRA FOR HAVING LONG HAIR. My hair doesn’t even pass my shoulders when it it done naturally. I’ve never been charged for long hair before at Hair Cuttery. I’m livid that this happened.
Here are my photos and my receipt attached, and I will be emailing corporate. This is unacceptable, not worth my time, and I will be crossing this location off completely.
