- EFElizabeth ForbesJun 12, 20261.0I took my daughter in for an eyebrow wax and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. It quickly became apparent that the technician was inexperienced and did not seem confident in what she was doing. While working on the middle of my daughter’s eyebrows, she repeatedly left wax behind and had to use oil several times to remove it. The shaping process was inconsistent, and her eyebrows were very uneven. Throughout the appointment, the technician kept asking me what I wanted her to do next, which made me uncomfortable because I expected a trained professional to know how to properly perform the service. At that point, I decided it was best to stop the appointment because I was concerned that continuing could damage my daughter’s eyebrows. Despite the service being incomplete and unsatisfactory, I was initially expected to pay full price. After I expressed my concerns, the technician did provide a discount. While I appreciate that gesture, I honestly do not feel I should have had to pay at all for a service that was not completed and that I had to stop due to concerns about the quality of the work. I understand that everyone has to learn somewhere, but clients should not be charged for a service that was not performed properly. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, and I would not feel comfortable returning.
- MDMs. DunneJun 4, 20261.0I cannot begin to tell you how disappointing the haircut was that I received. When I walked in the clearly very angry manager was abrupt. I asked for a haircut for my 8-year-old daughter she was going to have about 6 to 7 in cut off and her hair was going to be in a chin length bob. At this point the woman who would later become a hair stylist was trying to convince the manager not to no show someone that was on their way in. The manager said she had to cut someone else's hair and that she was going to no show the clients who had an appointment with the hair stylist. The hair stylist came over rushed my daughter back. I told her what we wanted and she promptly cut her hair without talking to her at all. The haircut was so bad that I had to take my daughter to another salon to have "dog ears" cut off. The stylist asked me what I thought and I said I guess it'll do since the hair's all gone. I don't think it was a lack of talent I think it was a lack of caring and that makes it worse.
