  My daughter had an appointment and got nervous once we arrived. The two workers were not pushy and helped her feel comfortable. Ultimately, my daughter decided she was too scared and the workers were very understanding. We will come back here when she is ready!

  Ms. JoJo was amazing. My 13-year-old really liked how she took the time to explain everything before she began performing the service. I appreciated the explanation of the required aftercare. There were no tears during piercings (needle), only smiles! We were promptly and warmly greeted upon entering. The facility was nice and clean.

  I think there should be numbing cream for infants and some type of measuring tool to help get the earring marking centered. Asking me “does this look centered” by the nurse was a little disappointing, because she’s supposed to be the expert. Also, why is there a separate price for the home cleaning kit? I was expecting a lot more for the price. I could’ve went to a regular piercing place for the service I received. Plus, you need more options for little infant ears.

  This is my second time coming here. The first was fine. No complaints but nothing exceptional. This time, Jojo gave me a flat piercing and it was quick and easy and nearly painless. She also was very careful with the placement and helped me pick out my jewelry. Just a cool person overall.

  Today, we had an overall mixed yet ultimately unfortunate experience at Rowan. I must give credit where it’s due. I cannot praise Nurse Jojo enough! She was absolute perfection with my baby’s ear piercing. She stayed completely calm, handled my little one with so much gentleness, and worked quickly and efficiently to get it done safely without unnecessary stress for either parties. She is a total gem, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled, compassionate professional for pediatric piercings. Unfortunately, our experience with the front desk left a terrible taste in my mouth and was quite the contrary to our piercing experience. The cashier, Raven, was remarkably rude and dismissive from the moment I walked in. When I asked about a walk-in appointment alongside my little one’s appointment, she flatly turned me down with a bad attitude. However, literally moments later, I heard her offer a walk-in spot to a person who walked in right after me - well within earshot. Given the clear double standard and her hostile demeanor, the entire interaction felt blatantly biased and discriminatory. I fear it is because of my outward religious attire, whilst unjustly treating others aside from me with a sweet and friendly demeanour. While the medical staff and piercing service deserve five stars, the management seriously needs to address Raven's behavior at the front counter. No customer should be made to feel unwelcome or targeted before they even step foot into the treatment room. It does not illustrate the quality service that I am sure Rowan strives to deliver.
