    We went to this Sephora today because my daughter wanted to attend because she uses Amina products and they were having an event where you could get a free product if you spent a certain amount of money. When we got there, I decided also to try some of the Amika products. My daughter and I are both teachers so we had some gift cards that we were gifted at the end of the school year to use. My purchase when I got to the register probably would’ve been somewhere around $75-$80. But as soon as the associate behind the register saw my gift cards she proceeded to tell me oh you need to go online. Those are hard to use. do you want me to help you? you have to go to a website and complete all these different steps. Now I will say she offered to help me, but if I was going to go through all this process, I felt more comfortable going home and doing it from my house, etc. so I did not make my purchase. My daughter also had probably 75+ dollars of product and was really looking forward to getting the free gift. Again, this was the whole reason for us going there. She also went to use her gift card which was a Visa gift card and they repeatedly ran it and said that it did not work. Needless to say we both walked out very disappointed. I then got in the car and drove up the street to Ulta. I went into Ulta and they had no problem whatsoever accepting the gift cards. I did not have to go online and do anything to them. All I had to do was hand them to them and they ran straight through. I personally ended up spending over $160 at Ulta. Needless to say, Sephora lost out on Not only my sale, but also my Daughter‘s sale. I’m not quite sure what the problem was at the Sephora today, but I can tell you Sephora’s loss was definitely Ulta’s gain. I can guarantee I will never step foot in Sephora again. I do have to add the one good thing that did happen in the store was we did have a wonderful sales associate named Elise. She was extremely helpful and went over and above.

    Karina or Katrina (sorry mom brain) was the absolute best! As soon as I walked someone greeted me and brought me to her so she could help me pick out everything! She spent a lot of time with me and made me feel really great about the products she was recommending. She definitely made my Mother’s Day even better. Please give her the recognition she deserves, she was amazing! Customer care was beyond incredible.

    My first Sephora experience and it was great! The lovely lady helping me was so genuinely nice and tried about 15 different shades of foundation on me before we landed upon a winner. It was actually her last day of work and she still went above and beyond! The store was super clean and smelled great, there were lots of helpful and cheerful staff, more product options that I knew what to do with and the prices compete with Amazon. All around a thumbs up from me!

    I went to this store to make return of a product I brought during the holiday season in Feb 1st, the manager said I can’t return the product because I passed the deadline which she cannot specify to me. She simply said it was “middle of January” what does middle of January means? Who knows? I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ When I told her that most store policy to return items purchased during holiday season is February 1st and she dismissed me. She said I can’t do anything about that and I will have to contact customer service. I called customer service and they said they can’t do anything for me I have to go to the store manager. Really people? Which one is it? Now I’m left with a product that I can’t used because it doesn’t go with my skin tone. That will be the last time I purchased in Sephora anyway. From now on I will be using Utra Beauty. I will never purchase from them again, Customer care is not important to them and to me this is upsetting.
