  I understand it’s a JCP salon, however since when was getting services there the same price as a smaller owned business? Which I understand that because they have a lot of bills to pay as a business owner versus a corporate salon (but slightly better than a great clips or Supercuts) I went in for a balayage (really a refresh from a previous balayage) and I asked the girl to do blended roots, ashy blond, and a trim. I was in the chair forever which I get due to long hair, but the final result was lack luster to say the least. I have brassy strands, mixed with some ashy strands, then she shows me (lifting my hair up) “I didn’t bother bleaching the ends I think we can just kinda blend that in with the new bleach”…. Yeah right today I was looking and you can clearly see what was my old balayage because she didn’t trim my hair enough or add more color to the end. Considering I paid $230 (before I tipped the stylist I ALWAYS do) but at that cost and for the let down I got, I could’ve seen my small business owned salon in RI. I don’t think I’ll be returning for hair color services here this is NOT what I was expecting. Let down for sure, seeing as I have a wedding this coming weekend.. hoping purple shampoo helps tone out the brassy tones. I feel like I went to a great clips… Also not happy that no one mentioned before I checked out that they would charge me an extra cost for bowls which btw shows as “long hair surcharge” x4? I was confused when I returned home and examined my receipt closer. If my hair was that long it’d be to my feet… again will not be returning which is a shame because I’ve had FAMTASTIC work here before in the past.

  Went to clean up my hair today, I asked for a fade on sides and back hairlines, keeping the top to mid length and showing how much hair I wanted to keep. Hair stylist kept cutting till it appeared too short, my hair is patchy and uneven. Came here before and came home with a decent hairdo with a similar request as of today, but for some reason this work came out atrocious. Never visiting again

  If I could I will give no stars . I went in and stood at the front waiting to be spoken with .. while two workers were singing ( I’m all for happy and singing and she can sing ) what I wasn’t impress with is how I stood up front saying hello .. while they sang and talked about how they took a lid off someone’s bin because they were tired of cleaning the hair off it . Smh It would’ve been nice to be acknowledged even if they weren’t taking anyone .. or have a close sign .. it was 6pm though .. a girl just want her hair done !

  Went to JCPenney salon for the first time and I loooved the results. RUTH was very patient with me (I was very indecisive and unsure with what I want lol) she walked me thru the whole process washing, cut and blow dry. I had a comfortable experience I definitely recommend Ruth🥰

  I walked in with a box-dyed brown color that turned out blotchy, and I was hoping to go as blonde as possible without spending an insane amount of money. Sheena was amazing!! In just 3 hours, I left the salon a gorgeous bleach blonde, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. She was incredibly gentle with the process, making sure to minimize the damage while still achieving the blonde look I was dreaming of. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I was shocked to see how affordable it was and I highly recommend this place.
