  What an absolute gem. We originally had booked a spa day at another hotel but switched due to rain and Four Seasons having an indoor pool. Had no idea what to expect and were pleasantly surprised by the calm lounge (a wide hall with seating and light snacks and tea options), a calming steam room in each locker room, a gorgeous pool where I was able to do some laps and read a book. Best of all, there was poolside service of lunch and drinks from the room service menu. We spent 6 hours in the spa and feel renewed. The front desk staff and the masseuse were very welcoming.

  Cons: Had a weird couples massage. The masseuse was talking to me the whole 50 minutes while I laid there politely laughing to be nice but I didn’t respond. For some reason he kept talking to himself and laughing at himself. Also he barely applied pressure after I kept reassuring him I needed more firmness. The hotel automatically took 20% from my card to give the masseuse 20% tip, so I didn’t even get a chance to provide feedback. Our total came out to about $750. I wouldn’t recommend the massage services here. Such a wasted opportunity. Pros: Overall the wellness area has a very clean steam room and pool area for a good lap. Their snacks are on the healthier side with dehydrated fruits and nuts and a selection of organic teas. It’s a good area for recovery after a workout.

  Super disappointed :/ I booked me and my husband here to celebrate our anniversary with a couple's massage and spa experience together. It's advertised as one of the best spas in Boston including a lap pool, eucalyptus steam room, and rain showers. The eucalyptus steam room and rain showers are separated by gender, so we couldn't use any of those together. Their lap pool was filled with 15+ kids playing (??) that were hotel guests, so we were definitely not able to do laps nor relax in there. It's practically a kids pool party in there! Very different from their advertisement stating that their lap pool is a "very calming environment"... We had arrived a few hours prior to our massage treatment to enjoy the other facilities together. When seeing that this was not possible, we let staff know shortly after arriving that this was not what we were expecting from the advertisement on their website, and we were feeling quite disappointed so far. We got connected with their spa manager who encouraged us to still go through with our massages as she thought we would still enjoy them very much. With no other resolutions offered than still paying full price or cancel and get a refund - we chose to cancel and leave. We were also encouraged to come back another time and receive enhancements to our next booking... I think they could have offered some better resolution when we were already there in our robes! Their front desk staff was super lovely and kind. Unfortunately though, this was altogether a pretty bad experience for us. Paid around $100 in uber back and forth for a promised experience online that we didn't receive. We encourage Boston Four Seasons to update their website so other people won't get mislead like we were.

  We have been visiting The Wellness Floor at One Dalton for the past five years, and it has consistently been one of our favorite spa experiences. We usually stay at the Four Seasons One Dalton for a staycation and make the spa part of our visit, but every few months we also come back to enjoy the Wellness Floor with friends and family. Over the years, we have always loved the therapists and staff. Everyone is professional, welcoming, and attentive, and the quality of the treatments and overall experience has consistently lived up to what we expect from Four Seasons. After five years of visiting, I finally wanted to write a review because of how the team handled a recent situation. My wife and I had scheduled spa appointments together, but due to an unexpected scheduling issue, a therapist was no longer available for my wife. The team contacted us a day in advance and offered to reschedule. Since we have a little daughter and had already arranged childcare specifically for our appointment time, having our treatments at different times unfortunately wasn't practical, so we ended up canceling. What really stood out was what happened afterward. Shantel, the Assistant Spa Manager, reached out personally and went above and beyond to make things right. She offered us a discounted spa service for a future visit as a gesture of goodwill and then helped us arrange a new date that worked for us. This kind of service is exactly why we continue returning to Four Seasons. Things don't always go perfectly, but how a team responds when something goes wrong says a lot about the level of hospitality they provide. Shantel handled the situation with genuine care and professionalism and made us feel valued as longtime guests. We have experienced the same exceptional level of service not only at Four Seasons One Dalton in Boston, but at other Four Seasons properties we have stayed at as well. Five years later, The Wellness Floor remains a place we look forward to visiting, and we will absolutely continue coming back. Thank you to Shantel and the entire Wellness Floor team for always taking such wonderful care of us.
