Ashley was an amazing stylist! She did a great job washing, blowing out, and trimming my natural hair. She thoroughly made sure that my split ends were gone and constantly checked to make sure that I was comfortable!

These stylists do not know what they’re doing… Started my appointment 30 minutes late because she didn’t know I booked at 3:00, and apologized to be fair, but not a strong start. I asked for my blonde hair to be toned and they accidentally put mocha hair dye in it, then did not even apologize and accused me of having an attitude as they bleached and put all kinds of chemicals to get it out of my hair. My hair ended up darker instead of toned. My stylist did not show experience, as she kept talking about “lifting” my hair, when my hair was already about level 8 or 9. Toner does not lift, it deposits. I felt like I knew more about dying hair than she did. Then I mentioned purple shampoo, and she says that she should have done that instead of use toner with developer. Then I had to explain how to get the dye out of my hair and toned back to its original color. When they put in toner, they kept taking about how “it’s turning white” and that they needed to wash it out before I looked like Santa Claus. My hair was a level 7 ish, with mocha hair dye bleached out. There was no way my hair would turn white. The toner turned a white color when they mixed it, which is why they thought it was turning white. It just seemed like I knew more about hair than they did. They couldn’t possibly think my hair could have turned white at that state! I had to pay for “toner,” when my hair ended up darker (it still has brown spots in it that I’ll probably have to fix), a trim that I wanted but was dismissed because the store was literally closed because this app. took five hours (it was literally just my bangs and around my money piece, which I had to fix when I got home because the cut was uneven), and a silk press that I also had to fix because the roots were still curly and my ends were damaged. Absolutely ridiculous. She only apologized hours later, but then continued to complain about how she wanted to go home, when I was the one paying for this service. Also, they got the toner on my skin, and we kept moving to and from the washing bowl so much that the towel kept falling and water went down my back. When she went to get me a new cape that wasn’t wet, a woman started applying toner onto my hair before the other even came back with the cape… I had to stop her so I could wait for the cape so it wouldn’t get on my clothes. Completely unacceptable. Do not book with Malissa. Attaching photos that show the difference in the two sides of my money piece, where one side still has brown color in it. I understand everyone has bad days, but I’m leaving this review because I wasn’t even offered a discount after this. Paying for a service like this is not worth the money.

Melissa did a wonderful job cutting my 8 year-old son's hair. She was meticulous and thorough as she cut his hair. She was also patient with him.

Ashley is truly the best beautician I have ever been to! She made sure I was comfortable from the very beginning of my appointment all the way to the very end. Going to the hair salon can sometimes feel daunting for me, especially when I know I haven’t done the best job caring for my hair, but Ashley never made me feel ashamed or judged about the damage. Instead, she encouraged me, poured confidence into me, and educated me throughout the process. I left her chair feeling more confident than ever, with an amazing haircut and feeling motivated to begin my healthy hair journey. I cannot recommend her enough!

So for Mardi Gras I was going to the Endymion ball for the first time. I went to a different salon to get a updo. It was a fairly simple updo. Had multiple pictures of the updo I wanted. The lady was horrible. I am never one to say anything usually but I wanted my hair to look beautiful for my first ball. It looked awful, I looked like Medusa. After the lady took 4 hours to still not get it right, refuse to ask for help and argued with me I left. I didn’t know what to do. I was in tears. I went over to the hair salon in jcpenny and asked if they could possibly save me. Ryan came up and said he could help me. He was so amazing. He undid the hell of a hairstyle I had before and turned it into exactly what I wanted. He was so sweet and funny and I am so grateful he helped me look so beautiful for the ball. Thanks for being my knight in shining armor that day ryan!!!!
