    Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. Excellent service. Store was well stocked and clean even though it was busy while I was there.

    About two weeks ago I came in with my husband and daughter to do some self care shopping as a little pick me up as I had found out I was pregnant and actively losing my grandmother in the hospital the same day. Within minutes of being in the store my 2 year old starting throwing a huge tantrum. Right when I was about to call it quits and leave, multiple employees came up to my daughter trying to soothe her and it worked. She gave her a makeup sample from a brand with clean/skin safe ingredients. I was able to get all I wanted and needed. I had told one of the girls on my way out they had no idea how long of a day it had been and how grateful I was that they were so kind, my store anxiety can get really bad with my toddler as she doesn’t always do well if she can’t run around like she’d like. We always travel across the river from Indiana ab 20 minutes instead of going to our sephoras for this one because it’s always got much more product in stock, but this experience has led me to my first ever business review. The employees are incredibly thoughtful.

    I was assisted by Hayley & she made the experience enjoyable. I went in looking for foundation and product to minimize dark circles. She helped by testing and showing me how to apply. It really made a big difference what she recommended!

    Remember that Perception is Reality, especially without proper communication. As a former retail manager of 14 years, the customer isn't always right - however, if you have a few associates standing at the counter talking to each other and not acknowledging the black woman waiting in line on her own, whatsoever, as another customer comes up (whom was white) that was being helped by another associate. It should have been explained calmly and thoroughly to the woman. I had witnessed this interaction as I was looking through the trial size items and while it was just a misunderstanding and a bit of confusion, that woman's experience could have been saved by a little bit of human conversation of "I'm sorry to hear that, can you tell me more? I'd like to understand how this happened." She wanted to feel heard and acknowledged. She had calmly shared how she was followed in the store and no one offered to help her either, and when she would ask for help it was below the bare minimum. That being said, I don't have this problem because of the privilege that comes with being white and I tend to avoid conversations and asking for help unless I genuinely need it. I'll shop online going forward or other locations, however, please do better and role-play these scenarios or do a team training. That matters even more now than it has ever before with the state of the world we are currently in.

    Terrible experience every time I go to this Sephora. The employees make you feel like you’re about to steal instead of making you feel welcome and comfortable trying products before buying. It’s makeup, people need to test things before purchasing. Since it’s basically the main Sephora in Louisville, I keep going back, but the attitude is always the same. Very uncomfortable environment. Very entitled employees and they just work at Sephora lol
