I had a bad experience at a Great Clips a long time ago and I always said that I would never go back but after the awesome customer service and experience i had today at this one. My stylist (Adrian) was awesome. I’ll definitely be recommending everyone to give Great Clips a chance again if they ever had a bad experience. Especially at this location.
- ACArvin CruzApr 18, 20262.0For anyone cares to read. I’ve been coming in this location for years. Most times I don’t even need to get reservations cause I know they will get to me in good time. Kim was my go to cutter but really I’m not picky.. my last visit was not that fortunate!! For this one I needed to make an appointment. Because I just got out of a clinic where both of my ankles where swelling dou to arthritis. We arrived and got a parking right in front of the door and I’m sure they can see that. We waited for 10 more minutes for that’s what it said on the appointment countdown. When it came down to 3 mins. We started to come down from the vehicle since I know I’ll be slow. As I approached and open the door there’s a man never seen him there before doing something at the register and saw us coming in. At the same time the counter says “you’re next in line for a hair cut” we kept going in the man asked if we had a reservation. And quickly replied yes and he asked the phone #. Etc. then he called a customer that’s been sitting there since we got there. But he was just a walk in. Cause I asked. I kinda got upset that it clearly said I’m next as he watched me struggle to get inside cause of my ankles. He then tells me it’s about 10 more minutes wait. Than I told that I was supposed to be next! His final reply was “ well you’re more than welcome to leave!!” As he called the other customer to go back with him. So I sat for a min cause of my ankles, then just decided to leave cause that was not fair in any planet I think. But I’m Asian and he called the white man first!! If it makes a difference.. but I know it’s not much but they lost an Asian customer and I’m sure I can spread this to the rest of my Asian people and others. I’m still going to great clips just not locust hill location in Lexington Ky..

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
