- HHHanna Hill2 days ago5.0My son has autism and ADHD and getting a haircut has always been a struggle. We have tried other salons in Madison and a TERRIBLE experience with them. It had been months since my son got his hair cut because of this. I explained to the lady at Great Clips that my son has autism which causes major sensory issues with getting his hair done. She assured me there would be no problems. She ended up being the one who cut his hair, and I have to say that she did an AMAZING job! She was so kind and patient with him. She explained everything to him and asked his permission before moving on to a new step. He stayed calm for the whole haircut which NEVER happens!!! She kept him smiling and laughing! He loved it so much, he asked to give her a hug halfway through the cut lol. She did a wonderful job, and I have completely decided to only let her cut his hair from now on!!! I wish I had caught her name because she deserves all the compliments and recognition!

She is very detail oriented, fast while being efficient and willing to go the extra mile. I’m not people a person but she always seems to be able to get a good conversation out of me! What's prompting me to leave a negative review however is the discussion between the hairdressers and other clients that we overheard while we were waiting for our turn this weekend. One of the hairdressers did not have awareness of how their words could be heard and felt by others and they were making inappropriate and agist comments that were very offensive. Please be more appropriate and professional - or at the very least pay attention to who else is in the store before you say such offensive comments. We will be sure not to visit this Great Clips again.

Online Check-In can be used for all services except perms and formal updos. Please note that not all salons offer perms. Most salons require an appointment for these services, so please call your local Great Clips salon to inquire.
Can I request a stylist using Online Check-In?
No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
