  As a girl who is embracing her curly hair era, Ruth at Penelope June, has been wonderful. Learning more about my hair, how to cut it, style it, and products to use. I am more confident with my curls than I have ever been in my entire life. I moved here from Detroit and I have been going to the same woman for 10+ years. Ruth and the staff have made this transition easy.

  We paid a considerable amount for hair highlights with the expectation that the requested service would be completed. After the first wash, we noticed that the crown/root area we had specifically discussed during the consultation had not been addressed. We contacted the salon as soon as we returned from an out-of-statea trip the following week and requested a correction. Instead of standing behind the work, we were told we would need to pay additional money to fix what we believed should have been included in the original service. We understand that misunderstandings about a desired style can happen, but what disappointed us most was how the situation was handled. Rather than working toward a reasonable resolution, the salon relied on its one-week policy even though we were traveling during that period and had contacted them promptly after returning. We were hoping for professional customer service and a willingness to resolve the concern. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling that customer satisfaction was not a priority.

  My first time at Penelope June and I highly recommend! The atmosphere was great and the team was very welcoming. Jalyn was my stylist and I absolutely loved the way she cut/styled my hair. I left feeling much more confident about myself. There was a small scheduling mishap but I felt that it was handled in a very professional manner. You can tell the team members love their job and are willing to help each other out. I will definitely be returning to this salon and I highly recommend Jalyn 😊

  Annabelle was fantastic! I was way overdue for a haircut and root touchup, and she was able to match my existing color perfectly. Will definitely be booking again!
