  Gavin is awesome. He listened to me and my concerns and made recommendations based on my hair texture, length and lifestyle. The amount of time and attention he gave me was really amazing. I highly recommend this salon and specifically GAVIN!

  It was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a salon the staff was super friendly and they are very accommodating, as someone that is very sensitive with hair they didn't even hurt me Kayla was super friendly and a great conversationalist.

  Received my first professional massage ever. Bryce was very professional and made me feel comfortable. He was great at isolating some of my problem areas. I left feeling super relaxed and relieved of my aches and pains. The front desk was professional and friendly as well. Overall great experience!

  I waited a few weeks to write this because I wanted to give an honest review of the entire experience and how my wife’s hair looked and felt afterward. When I first booked with Gavin, I’ll admit I hesitated a little when I saw “Level 2 Stylist.” Most of the other stylists I had looked at were booked out, while Gavin had availability sooner. Then I learned that he had recently moved here from Michigan and was newer to Salon 01, but definitely not new to doing hair. After this experience, I’m extremely glad we booked with him. My wife came in with heavily pigmented burgundy/red hair from a red color-depositing treatment. We had originally booked balayage because it was the closest online option to the inspiration photos she liked, but she wasn’t attached to a specific technique. She really just wanted her hair to look natural, healthy, beautiful, and finished. Once Gavin started, it became obvious that the red was MUCH more stubborn than any of us expected. What was supposed to be a couple-hour appointment turned into almost five hours of color correction. He removed color, rinsed, reassessed, dried it to see what he was working with, reformulated, and kept adjusting the plan based on how her hair was responding. She also has a TON of long, thick hair, so this was not a small project. What impressed me most was that Gavin never rushed and never made promises he couldn’t keep. He was honest that we might not reach the exact inspiration photos in one visit and that we might need to come back later. He cared more about protecting her hair and giving her a beautiful result than forcing it to do something it wasn’t ready for. By the end, she had a beautiful, natural-looking warm brunette/chestnut color with dimension, and her hair looked smooth, shiny, and healthy. But the most important part for me was that my wife walked out feeling beautiful and happy. A few weeks later, we are still very happy with the result. Gavin absolutely earned our trust. What started with me wondering whether I should book a Level 2 stylist ended with us knowing exactly who we want to go back to. Thank you, Gavin, for basically giving up your entire afternoon for us 😂 and for taking such good care of her. We’ll definitely be back.

  Do not go here if you want a color change. After 2 stylists and 6 hours at the salon my hair is still not right. I came in with a picture showing the color I wanted my hair. (Pic 1) Natalie the original stylist that did my hair let me leave without even admitting to her mistake. (Pic2) dark on ends and different color on top. I went back and saw Gavin to “fix” all the ashy gray and black on the ends. (Even though Gavin was sooo nice and sweet) I now had a 3rd color in my hair just on the top- goldish color. Ends still dark in spots and spots of ashy gray.(pic 3) Take in mind after the 2nd appt he needed me to come back again to work on it more. No manager or owner ever called me to check on anything. It’s hard to see the color in the salon so both times after getting home you can see all the damage. I only went here because it was closer to my new place where in Carmel I should have stayed with my girl at Society of Beauty. Never again will I try a new place for my hair; even if it’s in carmel it doesn’t matter. I have included more pics of how my hair looks after almost 2 weeks. Still upset every time I look at my hair and I paid for this! I also had my eyebrows shaped and tinted. I also really liked Audrey but I still had to do my eyebrows everyday and the tint faded away so quickly. RUN from Salon 01!
