Second time and always trust rowan and recommended to my friends. It's better than other places, clean trusted eating, no complaints as long as you use the after care. The flat stud helps a lot! They are also good with little kids. No screaming after piercing.

My major complaint is that Rowan feels like an absolute money grab. Yes, they have nurse piercers & yes they have safe jewelry, but I’m sorry it is SO expensive. It does NOT have to be this expensive. Have to pay to pierce (normal), pay for an earring (also normal, however Rowan’s prices are HIGH), then for some piercings, you have to pay to replace the first post (long one) with a shorter one a month later (maybe, if you’ve healed enough). THEN when checking out at the register, they automatically add their aftercare on the bill. I asked that they take it off because I have stuff to use at home. The girl helping me asked, with a major attitude, “what’s it called?” I told her “wound wash” & then she asked “what are the ingredients?” I told her I didn’t know & she explained that there are specific ingredients needed to have an effective aftercare spray. I said “thats fine, what’s the ingredient? I’ll just get something off of amazon” she then finally took the aftercare spray off my bill & let me check out. My piercer was kind so I do want to recognize that & she pierced well. I am pleased with my piercing. But the lady that rung me up at the register had a MAJOR attitude & made me feel bad for not wanting to buy their aftercare after I paid about $140 for the piercing and jewelry. Like I said at the beginning, it all just felt like a huge money grab, and only piercer cared about the health of my piercing. TLDR: SO expensive, rude staff member but a fine piercing. Will be getting my next one at a tattoo parlor.

It was great. Wanted a new piercing for a while and walked in the store. They spent lots of time with me helping with the right choice, location and care. I highly recommend going here if you want a piercing.

Taylor was a perfect nurse to administer a first-time piercing for both an 82-year old great aunt and her almost 5-year old great niece! She took the time to answer all the questions we both had as well as explain every step she was taking in order to calm the fears of the little one.

I’m honestly shocked by the pricing at Rowan. It ended up being close to $300 to get a pair of ears pierced. The $35 per ear piercing fee makes sense to me, but then having to spend around $200 on a pair of earrings that will likely never be worn again seems excessive. Maybe this is just Naperville pricing, but I wanted to give other parents a heads-up if you’re considering bringing your child here. There are highly rated professional piercing and tattoo studios where experienced piercers use a needle—not a piercing gun—for around $90 for both ears, including titanium jewelry. For the price Rowan charges, I also expected a much better jewelry selection. Unless you’re shopping for a very young child, the options felt extremely limited. The experience itself may be convenient and kid-friendly, but in my opinion, the overall cost simply isn’t justified for what you get.
