  I had a very disappointing experience at Sephora inside Kohl’s on 08/29/26 around 6:55 PM. I came into the store specifically because I wanted to try a fragrance before purchasing it. I was interested in the $205 fragrance and wanted to make sure I liked it before spending that much money. When I approached the employees, they were having a conversation and seemed annoyed that I interrupted them to ask for assistance. One of the employees came over with an attitude and, after I showed her a picture of the fragrance, immediately told me they didn’t have it. I asked if she could please check the drawer, and she did. While looking, she told me that if they only had one, she wouldn’t be able to make a tester. There were actually two bottles in the drawer, so she then said she would have to ask another employee. The second employee came over and told me they needed at least five of the fragrance in order to make a tester and that the product “didn’t even have a place” for one. I proceeded to show her the Sephora banner/display where the fragrance was clearly listed, but there was still no effort to help me try the product. I completely understand that there may be policies regarding testers, but the attitude, lack of willingness to help, and dismissive customer service were the biggest issues. I came into the store ready to potentially spend $205, and instead I left feeling like helping me was an inconvenience. These two employees working around 6:55 PM on 08/29/26 really need to improve their customer service. Sephora is supposed to be an experience where customers can ask questions, try products, and feel comfortable making purchases. Unfortunately, this experience made me not want to return. You missed a sale simply because you couldn’t be bothered to provide basic customer service. Very disappointing.

  So nice and well stocked. I couldn’t believe they have the sold out Charlotte Tilberry compacts. They had both colors which aren’t even online anymore. They also had my recommended bridal color which was space cowboy. I couldn’t believe it.

  Return policy is shady at this location. Employee told me there is a 30 day return policy for refunds or exchanges. The Sephora website and customer service representative stated past 30 days you can still get a credit or an exchange even without a receipt. Either the staff are not trained properly on Sephora's return/exchange policy, or since it's a Kohls they are making up their own policies.
