  I had one of the worst hair experiences of my life at this salon. I went to see Sam for a last minute hair cut before going wedding dress shopping for the weekend. I wanted bangs, highlights and a trim. He suggested layers which I said no to. He convinced me to get long layers which I reluctantly agreed to. Unfortunately he proceeded to cut short layers without my consent. They turned out very uneven and choppy. He also refused to cut the bangs I asked for because he believed I couldn’t take care of them on the basis of me showing up to the salon with my natural curly hair. He told me to come back another time if I wanted the bangs. He actually left before the end of my haircut so I couldn’t talk to him about how disappointed I was with the final result because he wasn’t there. Then, the total charges for the full highlights ended up being double the prices I saw online and I felt taken advantage of. I feel violated that my hair was cut without my consent. I am devastated that the years of growing my hair out for my wedding were snipped away without my permission. I was unwilling to go back because my trust was completely broken and cutting more hair was not going to resolve my grief around losing the hair that’s already gone. I would implore anyone reading this to choose a different salon or at minimum a different stylist.

  I went to saraya salon to get a haircut for me and my daughter hair color. My daughter is so happy getting a new hair color, Patricia took care of my daughter hair color and hair cut and blow out , it was fantastic. My hair cut was done for Jeneen, they are very professional. I recomed this place.

  I visited Saraya for the first time, and Sam did my hair. From the moment I sat down, he was confident and professional. He simply said, “Trust me,” and I did, and the result was absolutely amazing! What impressed me the most was how efficiently everything was done. My color correction, bleaching, haircut, and styling were all completed in just 2.5 hours. Not every salon can perform multiple services at the same time. It saves hours, helps minimize unnecessary stress on your hair, and you don’t have to spend 5–6 hours sitting in a chair. I’ll definitely be back when my roots grow out. If you’re looking for a talented stylist, close your eyes, trust the process, and enjoy the results.

  Had the best experience here at Saraya Salon! My hair was ruined by another salon and that’s when Sam saved the day. Love that they take appointments in the evenings and weekends! They are super professional and always give their honest opinions. I also appreciate that they never try and upsell you on services you don’t need. Sam and his team are very trustworthy and I will be coming back again for sure! I got a trim and long layers cut and the brazilian treatment and I am super happy with the results. Highly recommend coming here!

  Great cut from Sam. My hair has changed to crazy as I got older and I recently moved to the South Loop and was ignoring going to a salon. Finally went to Saraya. Lovely place, welcoming people, and even got a shampoo. Thanks for a calming and happy time. The cut was perfect. I highly recommend Sam.
