- MMMonica MccallOct 9, 20213.0I’ve been a long time customer and seem many great hair stylists come and go from this shop. However, if you have thick natural hair, stay away from Micheryl. She’ll make you feel like your beautiful hair is an inconvenience and it’s way to difficult for her to style. I always get a simple wash and blowout. With Micheryl, I felt as my hair wasn’t cared for and she just wanted to get it over with. She didn’t ask me what kind of style I wanted with the blowout but instead asked how much I was going to tip her in the middle of the service. Luckily, I paid before she started because she later mentioned how she would have charged me more. She made it clear several times that she didn’t like working with my natural hair after I paid and sat down. Nonetheless, Micheryl is the only bad apple I’ve experienced at JCPenney salon and I’ve going here for about 6 years. Don’t let my comment discourage you from visiting. All the other stylists are fantastic, friendly, professional who love showing that they can work with all kinds of hair types.
