I’ve had an account with SalonCentric Nampa for nearly 20 years, but I very rarely shop here and my most recent visit reminded me why. This location is a license-only store, which I fully respect. However, the way it’s enforced by management feels excessive and unprofessional. Each time I visit, I’m put through a repeated “screening” process, including being asked probing questions about my credentials, despite being a long-time licensed ESI & NTI. On my last visit, the manager loudly informed me—at the counter—that I could not purchase color chemicals, even though I was not attempting to do so. This kind of interaction feels less like customer service and more like being scrutinized or talked down to. I really just want to get out so I avoid informing her that I own two licensed primary establishments and I'm very aware that I could buy whatever the heck I want I just choose to not do business with her specifically. There’s a difference between verifying licenses and creating an uncomfortable, abrasive environment. Unfortunately, this has been a consistent experience over the years, not a one-time issue. She actually has a reputation in the local beauty community for this behavior. Because of this, I choose to shop elsewhere. I hope corporate takes a closer look at how professionals are being treated at this location. I'm not interested in "resolving by calling" and getting talked in circles. There's no way corporate hasn't been informed by now. Just fix it!

I'm not one to normally post review because I try to put aside that the customer service at Nampa Salon Centric isn't the best. But when you ask an employee a question about an email you got from their company and she goes off about how she's over being asked about it and she's frustrated. I was completely shocked how you can treat customers that way. It was crazy to me, I've never felt more uncomfortable going somewhere before. If it wasn't so close for to me I'd drive to Boise or Meridian.
