Horrible horrible experience left me in tears. I booked an appointment for my daughter and I to get haircuts to donate out hair after 3 years of growth. My daughter has a lot of medical needs- she's non verbal, has a trach, and has a seizure disorder. Getting out of the house is hard! I called ahead, explained what we were coming in for, we had appointments. My daughter went first. It was clear right away that this stylist had no clue what she was doing- didn't even hair, half ass put in a rubber band. She had to be told to part the hair evenly. She made the cuts, which were horribly uneven, and then just continued to hack away at her hair, wasting another 4" or so.
I finally spoke up, between tears and asked her to just stop, and we would fix it at home. Another stylist came over and fixed her hair, it did end up looking cute, but waaaay shorter than it should have been. At this point they didn't have time to fulfill my appointment. I was so depressed that all the planning for what was supposed to be a special moment between us for mother's had been so horrible. We came home and chopped 11" off of my hair in the living room with paper scissors. Save yourself the trauma, and find a salon that hires people with experience and care.
