- MLMelinda LibbertonApr 24, 20261.0My husband took my 13 year old son in there today I sat in car and waited.. they where not in there long before they came out and my 13 year old almost in tears. His hair had not been cut.. my husband proceeded to tell me they would not cut my sons hair because he had head lice. OK not a big deal. Went right to Walmart so we could get treatment.. I got out of car had my son come stand in front of me in the sunlight so I could check his head. There was absolutely no lice or nits. He had little white flakes in his hair that the stylist said where nits. There where absolutely none. as those are brown and stick to the hair.. the white flakes brushed out of his hair like dandruff when I ran my fingers through his hair. Also I know they turn white when they hatch but as I said there wasn't one bug at all in his hair and the white flakes just fell out of his hair like dandruff. I have worked with small children and children most of my my life and have had to deal with lice... will not be going back to great clips ever again. After I checked his head we took him to Walmart and they cut his hair with no problem and not one thing was said about lice or nits... checked his head again in parking lot after leaving Walmart and not one bug or nit just dandruff flakes. Great clips needs to educate their stylist better on head lice because my son did not and does not have it.

- ADAlice DriscollMar 8, 20263.0Great Clips was okay for a spur-of-the-moment haircut when we needed something on a Sunday. The convenience of being open when other salons are closed definitely helped. However, the haircut didn’t turn out exactly as expected. My 6-year-old had her head tilted a bit, and the stylist didn’t seem to notice, so her hair ended up getting cut a little shorter than what we asked for. It wasn’t terrible and it will grow back, but it was a little disappointing. Overall, it worked in a pinch, but the salon we normally go to tends to pay a bit closer attention to those details. Still, it was nice to have somewhere open on a Sunday when we needed it.
