  I went to Sephora yesterday to use my birthday gift card and pick up some setting spray, but I ended up having a wonderful experience with Caesar from Fenty. Caesar noticed I might need some help and took the time to listen to my questions about how I was applying my foundation. He suggested a brush and showed me the right technique, and I could immediately see a difference. He also helped me figure out why my under-eye concealer was turning gray. Because my eyelashes are very long, he recommended a mascara that dries without transferring underneath my eyes. He also helped me choose a lipstick and showed me how to add a little color to my eyes. After he finished one side of my face and then the other, I honestly looked like a different person! I felt refreshed, vibrant, and really good about myself. I originally went in just for setting spray, so I definitely spent more than I planned 😂, but I’m glad I did. As a nurse, I take care of patients, and I want to show up looking vibrant, cheerful, and ready for the day. Thank you, Caesar, for taking such great care of me and teaching me techniques I can actually use. I’ll definitely be back looking for you!

  Every time I visit this Sephora, I struggle to get help. During my most recent visit, one employee was at the register and another was helping a customer, while three staff members stood at the front talking with the manager. No one greeted me or asked if I needed anything. I had to say hello first just to be acknowledged. I was trying on foundation and felt like I was being watched as though I might steal something, when I actually needed help finding a shade. The manager is a Black woman whose skin tone is close to mine, so I would have liked to ask for her advice. But based on past interactions, I didn’t feel comfortable approaching her. She has come across as unfriendly, and her tone often feels nasty and passive-aggressive. When I’ve interacted with her, it has felt like things have to be done her way, and any disagreement becomes tit for tat. As I left, I told the three people at the front that I really did need help but found them intimidating. I later came back to ask when the previous manager would return and was told she no longer works for the company. The current manager’s tone during that exchange reinforced how I had felt earlier. I come to this location because it’s close to my home, but I want to feel welcome and comfortable asking for help. I hope the team takes this feedback seriously and improves how they treat customers.

  This store never has anything in stock. It’s always I’m sorry we can order it for you. I don’t order.. I want to walk and get my items. How hard is it to keep inventory? Goodness.
