  I got an alt shag by LM (Lesly Maria), she had some assistance with my bang section by another stylist named Kailtlyn (sorry if I misspell names!) I had a great experience! LM was very concerned about making sure I got exactly what I wanted. Every critique and suggestion I had, she listened to very intently. We had great conversations. I’ve had bad salon experiences in the past and I feel like this is the first time I’ve actually enjoyed getting my hair cut. Will def keep coming back here!

  This was my first time getting my hair balayaged here and I had an amazing experience! Nicole was my hairdresser and she was so sweet and did an amazing job on my hair and the color turned out exactly what I wanted! I recommend making an appointment in advance. This balayage was $300 and plus tip it was $360. This shop is located in the plaza next to kung fu tea, orange coffee bar and honey pig!

  I’m writing this review on behalf of my boyfriend, and unfortunately, I really don’t understand how this place has such high reviews. Before making the appointment, I specifically called and asked for a stylist who was experienced with curly hair. The receptionist reassured me that the stylist would be good with curly hair, which is the main reason we decided to come here. When we arrived, I showed the stylist a reference photo of exactly what we wanted. She took a very quick look at it and didn’t ask any questions about the style. I also clearly explained that we wanted MORE VOLUME, with only the back being shorter while keeping the fullness and shape on top. The actual haircut was surprisingly quick. Honestly, the blow-drying and styling seemed to take longer than the haircut itself. Once it was finished, it looked nothing like the reference photo and was basically the opposite of what we asked for. His hair actually looks THINNER now, not fuller. There is also barely any transition between the top and the lower part of the hair—it looks like it was just chopped off midway instead of properly blended and shaped. I told the stylist that it didn’t look like the photo and that the front looked much shorter and thinner than what we requested. Her response was, “I see that too, but because it’s curly, that’s why it looks that way.” That response was extremely frustrating. Of course his hair is curly—that’s exactly why I called ahead and specifically requested someone who knew how to cut curly hair or else I would just go to random places . How is it okie pay for haircut and walking out looking worst than when he come in. Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, I’m traveling and won’t be in the area. Also, since my hair was already cut much shorter and thinner than what I asked for, I don’t really see how it can be corrected at this point without cutting even more off. Right now, I’m honestly very unhappy with how my hair looks, especially since I specifically asked for more volume and for someone experienced with curly hair. I appreciate you reaching out and offering to resolve the situation, but at this point I’ll just have to wait for my hair to grow back.

  I got a balayage from Liz and specifically asked for an espresso color. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty frustrating, especially because this was being done shortly before my wedding. We initially spent about 3.5 hours doing a no bleach session, and the result was nowhere close to the espresso color I had asked for. We ultimately had to start over and bleach my hair. After bleaching and toning, my hair was still very light and blonde looking, so we had to tone it again. I want to be fair about this because I know it could be a point of confusion. After the second retone, I did tell her that I liked it better, because I genuinely did. The color was noticeably better than where we started. But saying I liked it better does not mean it was the color I originally asked for. It still was not an espresso color. I liked the improvement, but it was still not the requested result. The other major issue for me was the amount of time this took. I arrived at 10 AM and didn’t leave until 5 PM. I had a birthday dinner I was hosting that evening, which I had planned around my appointment, and I ended up having to push those plans back several hours because we essentially had to start the process over. By the time I left, I realistically did not have the time to say, “This still isn’t quite right, can we tone it again?” even though I may have considered doing that if I had been able to. I understand that hair color can be complicated and that getting an exact shade is not always possible in one session. My concern is that there seemed to be a disconnect between the color I requested and the color we ended up with. For $300+, and especially when you are getting your hair done for your wedding, I think it is reasonable to expect the stylist to get as close as possible to the color you specifically requested. Liz’s work itself is beautiful, and I want to be fair about that. My review is really about the color outcome and the overall experience. Based on my experience, I would personally be hesitant to return for a color service when getting a very specific shade is important to me. If you’re someone with darker hair looking for a very specific brunette tone, I would make absolutely sure beforehand that the stylist is experienced with achieving that particular color and that you’re both on the same page about the expected result.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10STARS! EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE! My daughter and I came to New Hair Boutique Salon hoping to finally find our forever salon, and we absolutely did! I drove an hour for a complete hair transformation, and I can confidently say it was worth every minute of the drive. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The owner Nou, Hope, Anellie, and Jay Jay made us feel so welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. My daughter had her haircut with Jay Jay, and she absolutely loved her! She told me Jay Jay was the sweetest, most gentle, and funniest stylist she has ever met. As a mom, seeing my daughter feel that comfortable and happy in the chair meant everything to me. As for my transformation, Hope, Annelli, and the owner were AMAZING! These women are incredibly detailed, knowledgeable, informative, and talented. They took the time to explain everything, listened to exactly what I wanted, and made sure every detail was perfect. I would honestly trust these beautiful ladies with my hair blindfolded! They KNOW what they are doing here! What really stood out to me was how comfortable they made us feel. It didn't feel like we were simply clients walking into a salon. It felt like a second home. The warmth, laughter, attention to detail, and genuine care made the entire experience so special. After searching for a salon we could truly trust, we finally found our forever salon. I will happily make that hour drive again and again. Thank you to the owner Nou, Hope, Anellie, and Jay Jay for making both my daughter and me feel beautiful, welcomed, and completely taken care of. You have two forever clients now! ❤️ 10/10 experience! I cannot recommend New Hair Boutique Salon enough! They do NOT disappoint!
