  It was my first time at Rowan, and the experience was 12/10! The shop is so well lit, beautifully designed but the best part is the team! Everyone was so warm and welcoming, the way they all engage with each other was so sweet. You can tell they all get along great and enjoy the job. Thank you Meagan for doing the piercing, the needle was so fast and smooth I could barely feel it. Thank you Sam & Tamera for the recommendations! I will be back!

  The piercing experience is fine and the front desk guy/manager seems nice. My nurse was efficient. However I had the same experience as this other review - they somehow make it very easy for you to assume the tip percentage is for the piercing service only. And I tipped almost $40 by accident. It absolutely does not make sense that anyone would ever tip on the jewelry and sprays. I went back and they initially said they might not be able to reverse the incorrect tip, but after I mentioned the review in my screenshot and the manager showed up, I was refunded the entire tip. And I tipped my nurse via Zelle. Meanwhile things are definitely a bit overpriced. And there’s no communication about the spray - people could have just purchase the same thing on Amazon from NeilMed instead of double the price here. While it’s good to have as an option it just felt like things aren’t communicated.

  I chose this place because of its great reviews and how they promote safety and a comfortable experience, but I left extremely disappointed. I brought my 11-month-old daughter in for ear piercing, and during the first ear, the piercing gun jammed and was left hanging from her ear. She was still calm and not even crying. Instead of immediately helping, the lead staff member blamed me for not holding my daughter correctly and defended the employee.. all while the gun was still stuck in my child’s ear!!! The gun eventually had to be manually unjammed, and the earring was pushed through by hand. We wanted to stop, but finished the second ear so she wouldn’t leave with only one pierced. As someone who works in customer service, I understand mistakes happen. What disappointed me most was the lack of urgency, accountability, empathy, or any effort to make the situation right. I came here expecting an experience far better than Claire’s, but I left wishing I had gone there instead.
