  Traveling to ATL for a couple days I needed a basic manicure and found this place was recommended. I asked for a basic manicure and a 4-n-1 pedicure at this salon. Kimmie was the technician on my feet and a lovely, elderly lady did my manicure. I was wearing a beautiful multi-carat simulated diamond wedding set that I travel with that Kimmie was constantly looking at. Once she started my pedicure, she asked if I wanted to wax my feet. I declined. She soon decided she needed a closer look at my ring and got about 6 inches away from my hand to get a better look. After a couple seconds she said a few words in Vietnamese, then in English "not real". It was so rude of her, but I opted not to escalate the remark and simply replied to her that I don't travel with my real jewelry even though I didn't owe her any explanation. She didn't respond to me. My husband was with me and a few minutes later i saw he looked a bit out of it so I asked him if he was hungry. He said he wasn't. After Kimmie finished my nails I was waiting for them to dry when she walked past us while eating an apple. She suddenly turned around and asked my husband if he wanted a bite, saying he looked hungry. He again declined. Just then, a co-worker of hers came over and told her to stop taunting my husband. It was very noticeable that the co-worker was upset with Kimmie and took her aside to talk privately. What they didn't know was my dad was a Vietnam vet and spoke Vietnamese which he taught me. I also brushed up recently because of a trip to SE Asia I just returned from in January. I could overhear them and was quite disgusted by what was said. Evidently, Kimmie thought the hair on my toes was nasty, that I was somehow not worthy because of my fake ring, and that my husband looked hungry, homeless and poor. I was shocked at being so disrespected, especially me being an elder to whom they were providing a service. After my nails dried, I called her over and then let Kimmie know that I speak their language and left. It was a very disheartening experience, but being in town for medical appointments I didn't want to further ruin my stay, but I will certainly look for a salon that respects me and my money the next time.

  Ann does amazing nails! I needed an emergency manicure because my daughter is getting married and my nails were a mess. She transformed my hands with tips and a French manicure. She works magic!
